Vague wording
Worked on the payment service.
More specific wording
Implemented validation checks in the payment service and added tests for failed transactions.
Illustrative example. Replace the details with your own work and verified outcomes.
Choose the meaning that fits
Use developed when you built or advanced something, reviewed when you examined existing work, and contributed to when you supplied one part of a shared effort. Implemented describes putting a change into practice. Ask what would appear in your own work log: a design, a set of tests, a written recommendation or a completed feature. Name that output directly.
Software development example
Reviewed checkout error reports and added test cases for expired payment sessions.
The example identifies a bounded technical contribution. It does not turn participation in a payment project into ownership of the entire payment platform. This is an illustration, not a claim to copy into your own work history.
Use it in your own sentence
Start with the action you performed, add the project or process, then explain the purpose or result. Include a number only when you can verify it. Read the sentence aloud: a precise, ordinary word is usually stronger than inflated language.
Check three things before keeping the rewrite: could you explain the work in an interview, does the verb match your authority, and does the result belong to you or the wider team? Keep technical terms that accurately describe your experience. Changing a verb should make the sentence easier to understand without changing what happened. Use past tense for completed work and consistent tense for ongoing duties.
