Delivery action words

Alternatives to “delivered” on your resume

Make the completed output or service explicit.

Words to consider

Delivered does not necessarily mean you led all the work that produced the result.

Vague wording

Delivered a project.

More specific wording

Completed the reporting workbook and handed over the update instructions to the operations team.

Illustrative example. Replace the details with your own work and verified outcomes.

Choose the meaning that fits

Provided fits a service or resource, produced suits an output, and completed emphasizes finishing an agreed task. Shipped may be natural for a software release but less clear elsewhere. Name what the recipient received and any verified deadline or scope. Separate delivery from later business impact when you cannot establish that impact.

Learning support example

Provided training materials and practice exercises for a new-starter workshop.

This describes the supplied resources, without implying responsibility for teaching or assessing the session. This is an illustration, not a claim to copy into your own work history.

Use it in your own sentence

Start with the action you performed, add the project or process, then explain the purpose or result. Include a number only when you can verify it. Read the sentence aloud: a precise, ordinary word is usually stronger than inflated language.

Check three things before keeping the rewrite: could you explain the work in an interview, does the verb match your authority, and does the result belong to you or the wider team? Keep technical terms that accurately describe your experience. Changing a verb should make the sentence easier to understand without changing what happened. Use past tense for completed work and consistent tense for ongoing duties.
