Alternatives to “launched” on your resume
Describe what became available, to whom and your role in the release.
Words to consider
- Introduced
- Released
- Rolled out
- Published
A release is not proof of adoption, revenue or long-term success.
Vague wording
Launched a campaign.
More specific wording
Published the campaign landing page and coordinated the approved email content with the marketing team.
Illustrative example. Replace the details with your own work and verified outcomes.
Choose the meaning that fits
Published suits content made available to an audience. Released often fits software or a finished asset, while rolled out emphasizes introduction to users. Launched is appropriate when you helped bring an initiative into operation. State the scope you handled instead of taking credit for every activity around a release.
Internal communications example
Introduced a weekly staff update and gathered department contributions for the first edition.
The claim is the start of the communication process, not an unmeasured change in engagement. This is an illustration, not a claim to copy into your own work history.
Use it in your own sentence
Start with the action you performed, add the project or process, then explain the purpose or result. Include a number only when you can verify it. Read the sentence aloud: a precise, ordinary word is usually stronger than inflated language.
Check three things before keeping the rewrite: could you explain the work in an interview, does the verb match your authority, and does the result belong to you or the wider team? Keep technical terms that accurately describe your experience. Changing a verb should make the sentence easier to understand without changing what happened. Use past tense for completed work and consistent tense for ongoing duties.
