- Oversaw
- Guided
- Monitored

Supervised junior staff.

Illustrative example. Replace the details with your own work and verified outcomes.
Choose the meaning that fits
Supervision can include assigning tasks, reviewing quality and helping people resolve questions. Choose directed only when you had authority to set the approach. Use guided when support is the central contribution. If you supervised a process rather than employees, name that process to avoid implying people-management experience.
Retail example
Oversaw opening checks and assigned floor preparation tasks during the morning shift.
The scope is the shift and its tasks; no hiring or formal line-management responsibility is implied. This is an illustration, not a claim to copy into your own work history.
Use it in your own sentence
Start with the action you performed, add the project or process, then explain the purpose or result. Include a number only when you can verify it. Read the sentence aloud: a precise, ordinary word is usually stronger than inflated language.
Check three things before keeping the rewrite: could you explain the work in an interview, does the verb match your authority, and does the result belong to you or the wider team? Keep technical terms that accurately describe your experience. Changing a verb should make the sentence easier to understand without changing what happened. Use past tense for completed work and consistent tense for ongoing duties.
