Choose the meaning that fits

Supported is already a useful word when the surrounding details are specific. Replace it with prepared, reviewed or tested if that action better describes your contribution. Reinforced suits strengthening something already in place. Do not turn a supporting role into full project ownership simply to vary the wording.

IT support example

Assisted the service desk by checking device setup records before equipment handover.

The example identifies the part completed before handover without claiming responsibility for every support activity. This is an illustration, not a claim to copy into your own work history.

Use it in your own sentence

Start with the action you performed, add the project or process, then explain the purpose or result. Include a number only when you can verify it. Read the sentence aloud: a precise, ordinary word is usually stronger than inflated language.

Check three things before keeping the rewrite: could you explain the work in an interview, does the verb match your authority, and does the result belong to you or the wider team? Keep technical terms that accurately describe your experience. Changing a verb should make the sentence easier to understand without changing what happened. Use past tense for completed work and consistent tense for ongoing duties.
