Make this layout work for you

Start with the kinds of projects and stakeholders you have worked with. Give each selected project a short scope description, then explain your responsibilities for planning, coordination or delivery. Keep certifications separate from practical experience and include only credentials you hold. Where a project changed direction, describe the useful action you took rather than implying that every initiative met its original plan.

Project example

“Maintained the migration schedule, tracked dependencies between support and engineering, and escalated unresolved handoffs before release.” The wording describes coordination. Include budget or team size only when you actually had that scope and can discuss it accurately.

Before you send your resume

  1. Check the content. Remove every bracketed prompt and unused section. Read names, dates, contact details and job titles separately from the rest of the text; familiar information can be easy to overlook when proofreading.
  2. Check the document. Open the exported file and look for headings left at the bottom of a page, clipped lines and unexpected spacing. Test your links and confirm that the text can be selected. Keep an editable copy for your next application.
  3. Check the application instructions. Use the file type and naming convention the employer requests. Review any fields filled from your uploaded resume before submitting; a readable template does not guarantee that every application system will interpret every field correctly.

Can I change the headings and fonts?
