Choose the meaning that fits
A responsibility describes what a role expects; an action explains how you performed it. Maintained fits ongoing upkeep, operated fits running equipment or a process, and delivered fits a completed output. Owned is a stronger accountability claim. Look for an ordinary working day and describe the task you completed rather than copying a line from your original job description.
Office administration example
Maintained the appointment calendar, confirmed meeting rooms and sent schedule changes to visiting clients.
The duties become visible actions. You do not need to attach a revenue or efficiency claim to routine work to make its scope clear. This is an illustration, not a claim to copy into your own work history.
Use it in your own sentence
Start with the action you performed, add the project or process, then explain the purpose or result. Include a number only when you can verify it. Read the sentence aloud: a precise, ordinary word is usually stronger than inflated language.
Check three things before keeping the rewrite: could you explain the work in an interview, does the verb match your authority, and does the result belong to you or the wider team? Keep technical terms that accurately describe your experience. Changing a verb should make the sentence easier to understand without changing what happened. Use past tense for completed work and consistent tense for ongoing duties.
