About this opportunity Welo Data is building a talent pipeline of PhD-level experts in South Korea in anticipation of upcoming work with a major AI client. Engagement type: Freelance / Independent Contractor Status: Building talent pipeline for upcoming project — not an immediate start Who we're looking for We're looking for depth of expertise, not general familiarity: A completed PhD (or ABD near completion) in one of the following fields: Social & Behavioral Science (psychology, sociology, anthropology, political science, economics, etc.) Humanities (history, philosophy, religious studies, area studies, etc.) Arts (art history, performance studies, music, media & cultural studies, etc.) Language & Linguistics (Korean language, translation studies, applied linguistics, literature, etc.) Native or professional fluency in Korean Strong writing and reasoning skills — able to explain nuanced ideas clearly Comfort working independently in a remote, deadline-driven setting What the work will look like Once confirmed, selected experts will help train and evaluate AI models by: Writing, reviewing, and grading responses within their field of expertise Assessing AI-generated outputs for accuracy, reasoning, and nuance Providing structured, actionable feedback to improve model performance Applying doctoral-level judgment to specialized, real-world tasks Why join the pipeline now Priority consideration when this (and future) projects open Flexible, remote, project-based work well suited to researchers and academics Meaningful work applying your expertise to real AI systems Originally posted on Himalayas
