## Medical Virtual Assistant (LATAM – Remote) Psy. Phy. Care is seeking Medical Virtual Assistants based in Latin America to provide essential support to U.S. - based healthcare providers. This is a remote contract position that offers either full-time or part-time employment, making it perfect for professionals with medical, clinical, or healthcare administrative experience who value long-term stability and the opportunity to work with U.S. healthcare systems. ### The Position You'll work directly with healthcare professionals and administrative teams, supporting daily medical operations from anywhere in Latin America while maintaining the strict confidentiality and professionalism that healthcare demands. The role operates on U.S. business hours, with EST/CST preferred, and requires a reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace. ### What You'll Do Your day-to-day responsibilities will include scheduling patient appointments and managing provider calendars, communicating with patients via phone, email, and patient portals, and updating and maintaining Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR). You'll verify insurance eligibility, assist with authorizations, and support billing and claims follow-up. Documentation responsibilities include preparing intake forms, medical reports, and correspondence while coordinating communication between providers, staff, and patients. Throughout all of this, you'll follow HIPAA and U.S. healthcare compliance standards without exception. ### What We're Looking For You must have a healthcare background—whether as a Medical Assistant, Medical Administrator, Nurse Assistant, Medical VA, or similar role. Experience with EMR/EHR systems is essential; we work with platforms like Epic, Athena, Cerner, and e. Clinical. Works. Strong medical terminology knowledge is required, along with advanced English proficiency in both written and spoken communication. Your attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality are non-negotiable.
