Analyse and design reinforced concrete and structural steel structures, from concept through detailed design and construction support, from our Hyderabad design office.
Please read before applying. This role needs hands-on structural analysis and design experience in both concrete and steel. Do not apply if your experience is:
Drafting or BIM modelling only, without structural analysis and design experience.Site supervision, quantity surveying, or project coordination only.Limited exclusively to concrete or exclusively to steel.Reliance on software outputs without understanding assumptions, boundary conditions, and structural behaviour.
About Invicta-Tech
Invicta-Tech is a digital design and construction advisory firm specialising in BIM and technology-driven delivery for complex projects across KSA and the GCC. We work with contractors, consultants and asset owners to turn models, drawings and point clouds into measurable, client-ready deliverables aligned with ISO 19650, project EIRs and BEPs.
Our work spans BIM production (LOD 200-500), model coordination and clash management, BIM automation and asset handover, across infrastructure & landscape, airports, hospitality, giga projects, industrial and logistics facilities. Our delivery team is based in Hyderabad, India.
About the role
We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to analyse and design reinforced concrete and structural steel structures, from concept development through detailed design and construction support. The role requires sound engineering judgement, practical knowledge of construction methods, and the ability to deliver safe, coordinated, and economical designs.
You will join our Structural Engineering team and report to our Managing Director.
What you will do
Develop structural schemes and assess suitable framing systems for concrete and steel structures.Perform structural analysis and design for gravity, wind, seismic, and other applicable loads.Design reinforced concrete foundations, slabs, beams, columns, walls, and associated structural elements.Design structural steel members, stability systems, bracing, and connections within the agreed project scope.Assess strength, stability, deflection, drift, vibration, and other relevant serviceability requirements.Prepare clear design calculations, structural reports, specifications, and design sketches.Guide and review structural drawings and models prepared by BIM modellers and detailers.Coordinate structural requirements with architects, civil and MEP engineers, geotechnical consultants, and contractors.Review shop drawings, material submissions, and technical queries for compliance with the design intent.Support site and construction queries remotely (site photos, RFIs and technical queries) and resolve construction issues within the assigned scope.Follow internal checking procedures and maintain clear records of assumptions, revisions, and design decisions.
What we are looking for (must-have)
3-6 years of hands-on structural design experience.Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Demonstrable hands-on experience designing both reinforced concrete and structural steel structures.Strong understanding of structural mechanics, load paths, lateral stability, and foundation behaviour.Working knowledge of the structural codes and loading standards applicable to the project location.Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, Robot, or equivalent tools appropriate to the work.Ability to validate software results using independent calculations and engineering judgement.Practical understanding of concrete reinforcement detailing, steel connections, and constructability.Ability to read, prepare, and review structural drawings and technical documentation.Strong coordination skills and clear written and verbal communication.Ability to manage assigned deliverables, deadlines, and quality requirements.
Good to know: proficiency in every software package listed is not required; strong capability in relevant tools is sufficient. A postgraduate degree is not mandatory where you demonstrate the required design competence.
Good to have
Master's degree in Structural Engineering.Professional engineering registration, chartership, or progress toward a relevant qualification.Experience with Revit, Tekla Structures, and BIM coordination workflows.Experience with connection-design tools such as IDEA StatiCa or equivalent.Experience with seismic design, dynamic analysis, or complex structural systems.Knowledge of post-tensioned concrete, composite construction, precast concrete, or long-span steel structures.Experience assessing and strengthening existing structures.Site experience and familiarity with fabrication, erection, and temporary stability considerations.Ability to automate calculations or repetitive tasks using spreadsheets, Python, or other suitable tools.Experience optimising material quantities and evaluating alternative structural solutions.
Success in this role
Success means delivering accurate, well-documented designs on schedule, producing coordinated and buildable solutions, and resolving technical issues with sound engineering judgement.
What we offer
Hands-on design work on live projects from day one.A small, senior team where your work is visible.Competitive pay based on experience.
Location and work mode
Hyderabad, India. Full-time, on-site in our design office.
How to apply
Apply through LinkedIn with your CV. Your CV must list the concrete and steel structures you designed, the analysis software you used, and your role on each. In your application, tell us briefly about one structure you designed: the structural system, the loads that governed, and how you checked the software results. Do not share client-confidential files.
