We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large, high-priority initiatives from kickoff through completion in a hybrid environment with two days per week onsite in Mendota Heights, MN. This contract role offers the opportunity to partner with business and IT leaders, guide cross-functional teams, and help improve project delivery practices across the organization. Responsibilities Lead complex projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, delivery, and closure. Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource plans, status updates, and meeting documentation. Track scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to help ensure successful project outcomes. Identify risks and issues early, escalate when needed, and drive practical mitigation actions. Coordinate with internal teams, sponsors, vendors, and stakeholders to keep work moving smoothly. Support the development and approval of project-related documentation, including statements of work and other key materials. Mentor project managers and coordinators while helping strengthen project management methods, templates, and procedures. Support project postmortems and lessons learned to improve future delivery practices. Communicate project progress, concerns, and outcomes clearly to both operational and executive audiences. Partner with business customers and vendors to help resolve issues and support corrective action planning. Skills 8+ years of project management experience leading enterprise-level or large cross-functional initiatives. Strong experience managing project plans, budgets, risks, schedules, and stakeholders. Excellent executive communication skills, including the ability to present concise status updates and recommendations. Ability to work across departments and build collaborative relationships with business and IT partners. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and keep projects on track in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to work independently while also responding well to direction from multiple stakeholders. Comfort working with project management tools and standard methodologies. Preferred Skills PMP certification is preferred. Experience mentoring other project managers is a plus. Background supporting both IT and business projects is beneficial. Experience with large projects spanning 12 to 18 months is helpful. Experience with vendors, RFI/RFP processes, and statement of work development is advantageous. Experience with projects involving international components is a plus.
