This role reports to the Head of Implementation Services. About the Role Integration Engineers at zerohash drive the critical bridge between contract signing and live production. Sitting at the intersection of complex financial technology, digital asset infrastructure, and customer delivery, you will be directly responsible for executing customer integrations from technical kick-off to successful go-live. Your primary focus will be onboardings involving our CLOB FIX protocol engines and the full ecosystem of adjacent products that complement order matching, including: • Account Funding & Payouts • Crypto Deposits & Withdrawals • Request for Quote (RFQ) • Staking Infrastructure & Services You will work directly with technical teams at institutional client organizations, guiding them through integration architecture, testing, API/FIX setup, and go-live readiness. Success in this role is measured by rapid time-to-production, smooth implementations, and building reliable, scalable integrations that drive immediate business volume. This is a fully remote role for a candidate based in the US and/or Canada. Responsibilities • Lead Technical Implementation: Drive end-to-end integration workflows for deals nearing contract execution through go-live, serving as the lead implementation engineer. • CLOB FIX & API Expertise: Act as the technical point of contact for clients integrating via CLOB FIX protocols as well as REST/WebSocket APIs for surrounding crypto workflows. • Product Coverage: Guide institutional clients through configuring and implementing adjacent products, including Account Funding, Payouts, Crypto Deposits/Withdrawals, RFQ, and Staking. • Technical Onboarding & Testing: Lead client engineering teams through sandbox environments, connection configuration, order-flow validation, edge-case testing, and production deployment. • Troubleshooting & Debugging: Directly diagnose, debug, and resolve implementation blockiers, API errors, payload misconfigurations, and connectivity issues during the onboarding lifecycle. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Core Engineering teams to hand off client requirements seamlessly and accelerate feature additions needed for go-live. • Implementation Tooling & Playbooks: Continuously optimize implementation playbooks, client integration documentation, and automated testing tools to shorten client onboarding timelines. Requirements • 3–5+ years of experience in Integration Engineering, Technical Implementation, Technical Onboarding, Solutions Architecture, or a similar technical client-facing role. • Deep technical experience with FIX Protocol (FIX 4.2 / 4.4 / 5.0) in institutional trading, exchange, or market infrastructure environments. • Hands-on proficiency with web APIs: Deep understanding of REST, WebSockets, JSON/HTTP, and distributed architecture patterns. • Core Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with SQL and at least one programming/scripting language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Java) for debugging, log parsing, and building test scripts. • End-to-End Delivery: Proven track record of managing technical implementations from initial kick-off through production launch under tight timelines. • Communication & Technical Delivery: Ability to effectively lead technical working sessions with client developers, system architects, and technical project managers. • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical capabilities to troubleshoot real-time order-flow issues, ledger adjustments, and protocol discrepancies across complex multi-product environments. Preferred Qualifications • Domain Knowledge: Direct experience with Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS), Central Limit Order Books (CLOB), or matching engine connectivity. • Crypto Infrastructure Experience: Prior background implementing digital asset custody, crypto rails, deposit/withdrawal sweeping, yield/staking protocols, or fiat payout gateways. • Institutional Trading Background: Experience working alongside prime brokers, proprietary trading desks, fintech brokers, or institutional crypto exchanges. • AI & Automation: Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate learning, log analysis, code generation, and implementation troubleshooting.
