✍ Short Description:
We are seeking a Performance Video Editor to join a scaling DTC pet care brand's in-house marketing team. Your role is to transform raw creator footage and scripts into scroll-stopping ad creatives for Meta, Instagram, and TikTok that drive measurable conversions. Working with a steady flow of content, you'll apply performance editing fundamentals (hooks, pacing, re-hooks, and retention techniques) to create visually compelling short-form content. You'll have direct visibility into creative performance metrics, allowing you to iterate continuously and optimize based on real business results. This is a high-ownership position suited for someone who thrives with autonomy, delivers consistently against tight deadlines, and understands what drives DTC video performance.

💼 Responsibilities:
Create high-performing short-form video ads optimized for Meta, Instagram, and TikTok, applying performance editing techniques (hooks, pacing, re-hooks) to maximize engagement and conversions.
Edit creator and product footage into compelling visual narratives, translating scripts into thumb-stopping content that performs across platforms.
Source, organize, and manage B-roll and stock footage using provided subscriptions, maintaining organized asset libraries in .
Design marketing images, thumbnails, and social graphics using Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva to support campaign deliverables.
Track assignments and project status in ClickUp, follow naming conventions and file organization protocols, and communicate proactively about timelines, blockers, and workflow improvements.
Iterate quickly based on performance data, suggesting improvements to editing workflows and creative processes to strengthen team output.
💡 Qualifications:
3+ years of video editing experience specializing in short-form content for DTC or e-commerce brands (required).
Expert-level proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro.
Proven experience editing direct-response ads for Meta, Instagram, and/or TikTok for ecommerce or DTC brands.
Mid-level proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
Strong fundamentals in typography, color theory, composition, and motion graphics.
Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-managed with strong time management and ability to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
Proactive communicator who flags issues early and asks questions before problems arise.
Comfortable giving and receiving feedback while proactively identifying opportunities to improve creative workflows.
