About RoomPriceGenie ✨🧞♂️
Founded in 2017, RoomPriceGenie is dedicated to helping hoteliers around the globe achieve optimal pricing. 🌍 We understand that many small hotels face challenges with digitalization, making their operations increasingly complex and often resulting in lost revenue. This is where we come in!
We have developed a powerful solution that enables hotels to set the right prices in just seconds. ⏱️ Our state-of-the-art algorithm analyzes both internal hotel data and market trends to recommend pricing strategies that enhance revenue and improve booking rates.
With customers spanning the globe—from the USA and Canada to Iceland, South Africa, China, Slovenia, Italy, and the UK—RoomPriceGenie has made a meaningful impact in the hospitality industry, and our clients love the results. ❤️
Now, we are excited to expand our customer base and spread the word about how we can support hoteliers in optimizing their pricing strategies. We invite you to join us on this journey! We actively encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds to enrich our team and drive innovation.
As the Head of UX at RoomPriceGenie, you'll lead our small but mighty design and research team of two product designers and one user researcher.
This isn't an IC role where you'll be pushing pixels or running sessions yourself. It's a leadership role focused on building the function, championing the team, and setting them up for success.
You'll set the strategic direction for how design and research operates, advocate for the team at leadership level, and create the conditions for your people to do their best work. You'll also play a key role in raising design and research maturity across the wider product organisation — guiding better decisions through clearer systems, guidelines, and shared insight.
Champion design and research as a strategic partner that shapes the roadmap.
Partner with Product Leadership to translate strategic business priorities into a clear, sequenced roadmap for Design & Research.
Set a clear vision for the design and research function — defining what success looks like, where it's heading, and how it contributes to the company's overall strategy.
Raise design and research maturity by providing constructive critique and quality oversight to support high-quality product outcomes.
Create the space for the team to work on foundational initiatives that scale team impact. For example: evolving the component library into a robust design system and establishing clear design and content playbooks to drive consistency, efficiency, and quality.
Set the strategic direction for how AI fits into the design & research workflow — where it accelerates, where craft stays human, and set clear guardrails for how the wider org uses it.
Foster a culture where the team integrates AI into product work — evolving their craft and building fluency through practice.
Ensure designers and researchers play a key role in shaping product and AI direction, grounding decisions in user insight and design perspective.
Advocate for Design Thinking to be embedded throughout the product life cycle, shaping ideas and guiding decisions.
Proactively identify large, strategic UX opportunities that span across the product.
Navigate competing priorities between leadership direction and team capacity, ensuring the team stays focused on high-impact work.
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback through regular one-to-ones — focused on the development and growth of your team.
Build clear career frameworks and progression paths for Design and Research.
Encourage continuous learning, adaptability, and development within the team.
A genuine understanding of both design and research disciplines, even if your background leans more toward one. You don't need to be an expert in both, but you need to value and support both equally.
Proven experience in a senior design leadership role is required — you've owned a function, led teams of designers and researchers, and have a track record of influencing product direction at the leadership level.
A track record of advocating for both disciplines at the leadership level and influencing product strategy, not just delivering on it.
Experience building or maturing a design function: establishing processes, systems, playbooks, or ways of working from the ground up.
Curiosity about AI and how it's changing the way design and research teams work — you don't need to be an expert, but you should be excited about figuring this out with the team.
A compassionate, proactive leadership style that creates emotional safety for the people around you.
Confident navigating difficult stakeholder dynamics without losing your composure or your team's trust.
Strong communicator who can translate design value into language that resonates with leadership, product, and engineering.
Comfortable giving and receiving direct feedback — you see it as a gift.
Experience in or familiarity with the hotel or travel industry.
Familiarity with building or scaling teams.
Experience building and maintaining a design system.
Experience working in scale-ups or startups — you're comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in environments that are still finding their shape.

Compensation: €95K – €125K
Start with a role or skill you want to use in your next job. Use the location and role filters to narrow the results, then open a listing to review the description. A title alone rarely explains the level of responsibility, working arrangement, or experience a team needs. Compare those details before deciding which opportunities deserve a tailored application.
Employers use different titles for similar work. If an exact phrase produces no results, try a shorter title, a core skill, or an alternative name for the role. Remove one filter at a time to understand which requirement is narrowing your search. A broader search can reveal suitable work without asking you to change your actual qualifications.
For each promising listing, read the responsibilities and separate essential requirements from preferences. Note the location, schedule, employment type, and compensation when provided. Missing details are questions to confirm with the employer. A remote opening may still require a particular country, work authorization, or time-zone overlap, so check the full posting before treating it as a location-independent opportunity.
Choose a few examples that demonstrate the skills this employer names. Explain your contribution and its outcome, using accurate numbers where available. Put the most relevant experience first and keep your resume easy to scan. Avoid adding technologies, qualifications, or achievements simply because they appear in a description. Your application should make your existing strengths easier to understand.
Follow the employer’s instructions for resumes, cover letters, work samples, and screening questions. Review the exported file before submitting it: confirm that contact details are correct, text can be selected, and links reach the intended pages. A resume check can help you spot unclear writing before you apply. Its feedback is advisory and does not predict a hiring decision.
Listings are collected from external sources and may change after they appear here. The employer or recruiting destination controls whether applications are open. If an original link is unavailable, check the company’s careers page for the title or move to another opening. An employer website link is a place to check current vacancies, rather than confirmation that a particular job is still accepting applications.
Keep a simple record of the company, role, job reference, application date, and documents you sent. Record any follow-up instructions and the next action you plan to take. This makes it easier to prepare for interviews, compare opportunities, and avoid applying repeatedly to the same opening through different boards. Review your shortlist as employers update their listings and prioritize opportunities with clear requirements that match the work you want to do.
