We’re a team of friends bound together by a mission to preserve our planet for future generations through innovative energy solutions and modern infrastructure. Intersect develops, constructs, and operates the most ambitious power and data center infrastructure in the country by co-locating industrial demand with dedicated gas and renewable power generation.
Intersect was acquired by Google in March 2026 and operates as an independent subsidiary. We are developing and constructing multiple gigawatts of energy and data center projects in the U.S., enabling more data center and generation capacity to come online faster. We’re on an aggressive growth trajectory and looking for people hungry to tackle the largest energy challenges on the planet.
Intersect has been a fully flexible workplace since its founding in 2016. We’ve been very intentional about the way we do things. We are not work-from-home, hybrid, or in-office - we are any and all of those options! Deepening social connections and offering shared experiences is a cornerstone of the way we work. We connect as a team at our Team Week experiences four times a year and at our recently established Hub locations - SF Bay Area, NYC Metro Area, NY; Denver, CO; Austin, TX; Calgary, AB; and Toronto, ON.
We are currently looking for candidates located within 60 miles of any of the listed hubs to foster more in-person connections while maintaining our flexible remote culture.
As a Campus Project Director on Intersect's Construction team, you'll oversee the complete execution and delivery of multi-facility clean energy campuses designed to power Google data centers. You will lead complex, multi-technology buildouts encompassing utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and high-voltage substation and transmission infrastructure, serving as the single point of accountability for site performance, vendor integration, and executive reporting.
You will collaborate closely with internal engineering, procurement, asset management, and executive leadership, as well as external EPC partners and hyperscale client stakeholders. By deploying modern construction management platforms and leveraging clear, strategic communication, you'll drive operational excellence while ensuring safety and quality standards across all sites.
This team plays a critical role in advancing Intersect's mission to accelerate the clean energy transition. The Construction team partners across development, engineering, procurement, and operations to build resilient, gigawatt-scale power infrastructure that energizes critical digital infrastructure. Joining this team means directing high-impact energy campuses from earthworks to commercial operation, shaping how clean energy powers the future of computing while growing alongside a dedicated group of industry leaders.
Lead end-to-end site delivery for multi-facility energy campuses combining solar, wind, BESS, and high-voltage transmission scope.
Manage and mentor Campus Project Managers, serving as their primary escalation point and holding overall accountability for the success of the campus as a whole.
Establish site governance, schedule baselines, and budget oversight across simultaneous project builds powering Google data center infrastructure.
Incorporate advanced field management tools, including Terabase Construct and AI Clearing, to track site progress, optimize craft sequencing, and ensure quality.
Drive High-Voltage Integration and Technical Compliance
Oversee the seamless integration of high-voltage substations, interconnection facilities, and generation assets into active grid and off-grid interconnections.
Troubleshoot complex engineering, procurement, and field bottlenecks alongside technical experts to maintain strict commercial operation timelines.
Evaluate natural gas power integration options where applicable to enhance campus resilience and microgrid performance.
Lead Executive Communication and Strategic Stakeholder Alignment
Synthesize high-density technical, financial, and schedule data into executive-ready slide decks for leadership and key off-taker stakeholders.
Deliver regular strategic briefings to executive leadership detailing campus health, risk contingencies, and critical path milestones.
Maintain strong working relationships with EPC firms, key equipment vendors, utilities, and local regulatory authorities.
Strengthen Safety, Cost, and Operational Culture
Enforce rigorous safety programs across all campus sites, cultivating an environment that prioritizes total personnel well-being.
Manage financial workflows using Stampli and internal financial tools to control capital expenditure, change orders, and contract compliance.
Utilize generative AI platforms such as Claude and Gemini to streamline reporting workflows, executive briefing prep, and team documentation.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
10+ years of project management experience in power generation, with 3+ years specifically as a Project Director leading utility-scale clean energy projects.
Proven track record delivering complex campus-scale builds featuring solar, wind, BESS, and high-voltage (HV) scope; natural gas experience is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex technical challenges and produce executive-level presentation decks for C-suite leadership and external client stakeholders.
Proficiency with modern construction, workflow, and AI tools including Terabase Construct, AI Clearing, Stampli, Lucidchart, G Suite, Claude, and Gemini.
Willingness to travel up to 50% to active campus sites with a minimum once-a-month onsite footprint.
Strong team builder and strategic thinker with an adaptable leadership style focused on cross-functional alignment and field enablement.

Start with a role or skill you want to use in your next job. Use the location and role filters to narrow the results, then open a listing to review the description. A title alone rarely explains the level of responsibility, working arrangement, or experience a team needs. Compare those details before deciding which opportunities deserve a tailored application.
Employers use different titles for similar work. If an exact phrase produces no results, try a shorter title, a core skill, or an alternative name for the role. Remove one filter at a time to understand which requirement is narrowing your search. A broader search can reveal suitable work without asking you to change your actual qualifications.
For each promising listing, read the responsibilities and separate essential requirements from preferences. Note the location, schedule, employment type, and compensation when provided. Missing details are questions to confirm with the employer. A remote opening may still require a particular country, work authorization, or time-zone overlap, so check the full posting before treating it as a location-independent opportunity.
Choose a few examples that demonstrate the skills this employer names. Explain your contribution and its outcome, using accurate numbers where available. Put the most relevant experience first and keep your resume easy to scan. Avoid adding technologies, qualifications, or achievements simply because they appear in a description. Your application should make your existing strengths easier to understand.
Follow the employer’s instructions for resumes, cover letters, work samples, and screening questions. Review the exported file before submitting it: confirm that contact details are correct, text can be selected, and links reach the intended pages. A resume check can help you spot unclear writing before you apply. Its feedback is advisory and does not predict a hiring decision.
Listings are collected from external sources and may change after they appear here. The employer or recruiting destination controls whether applications are open. If an original link is unavailable, check the company’s careers page for the title or move to another opening. An employer website link is a place to check current vacancies, rather than confirmation that a particular job is still accepting applications.
Keep a simple record of the company, role, job reference, application date, and documents you sent. Record any follow-up instructions and the next action you plan to take. This makes it easier to prepare for interviews, compare opportunities, and avoid applying repeatedly to the same opening through different boards. Review your shortlist as employers update their listings and prioritize opportunities with clear requirements that match the work you want to do.
