ABOUT ROCKET MONEY 🔮
Financial security shouldn’t be a privilege. Yet, Americans carry $1.26 trillion in credit card debt¹, nearly one in four has no emergency savings², and only 46% of households reported retirement-account savings³. Rocket Money's mission is to meaningfully improve people's financial prosperity for millions of people.
Few companies combine Rocket Money’s reach, member trust, and understanding of people’s financial lives. Our vision: money that works for you, without making you work for it. With advances in automation and AI, we can go beyond helping members understand their finances to helping them improve their financial health, paying down debt, saving and growing their money automatically.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to build a new investing product from 0→1, then grow and scale it into a core part of Rocket Money’s future. With end-to-end ownership and direct access to senior leadership, you’ll have the reach of an established platform, the impact of a small team, and the opportunity to improve millions of financial lives.
ABOUT THE ROLE 🤹♀️
You’ll lead a small, decisive product team with engineering and UX to build a new investing product from 0→1, find product-market fit, and grow it into a sustainable part of our business. Together, you’ll uncover meaningful member needs, test the hardest assumptions, and build a simple, trustworthy experience. You’ll shape product direction, make clear prioritization decisions, and own outcomes from discovery through launch and scale.
The opportunity goes beyond launching another product: you’ll help make Rocket Money a place members turn to not just to manage today’s finances, but to build their financial future. What you build will give members new reasons to stay and grow with us, and help shape Rocket Money’s next chapter.
This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Group Product Manager, Financial Products, with close partnership with the Vice President of Financial Products and senior leadership. You’ll collaborate with engineering, design, data, operations, marketing, finance, legal, compliance, and external financial partners. You’ll pair strategic judgment with hands-on execution—from roadmap and discovery to integrations and activation and retention analysis. Success means building a product members value and a business that grows, not simply shipping features.

This job description is an outline of the primary responsibilities of this position and may be modified at the discretion of the company at any time. Decisions related to employment are not based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, military or veteran status or any other characteristic protected by state or federal law. The company provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
The information regarding compensation and other benefits included in this paragraph is the company’s current, good faith estimate at the time of posting. [Compensation and benefits are subject to modification from time to time as the Company, in its sole and exclusive discretion, deems appropriate.] The Company may determine during its future reviews of the proposed compensation and benefits provided for this position, that the compensation and benefits for such position should be reduced. In no event will the Company reduce the compensation for the position to a level below the applicable jurisdictional minimum wage rate for the position. Los Angeles County and San Francisco Candidates only: qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment per the Fair Chance Ordinance and the Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring.
Start with a role or skill you want to use in your next job. Use the location and role filters to narrow the results, then open a listing to review the description. A title alone rarely explains the level of responsibility, working arrangement, or experience a team needs. Compare those details before deciding which opportunities deserve a tailored application.
Employers use different titles for similar work. If an exact phrase produces no results, try a shorter title, a core skill, or an alternative name for the role. Remove one filter at a time to understand which requirement is narrowing your search. A broader search can reveal suitable work without asking you to change your actual qualifications.
For each promising listing, read the responsibilities and separate essential requirements from preferences. Note the location, schedule, employment type, and compensation when provided. Missing details are questions to confirm with the employer. A remote opening may still require a particular country, work authorization, or time-zone overlap, so check the full posting before treating it as a location-independent opportunity.
Choose a few examples that demonstrate the skills this employer names. Explain your contribution and its outcome, using accurate numbers where available. Put the most relevant experience first and keep your resume easy to scan. Avoid adding technologies, qualifications, or achievements simply because they appear in a description. Your application should make your existing strengths easier to understand.
Follow the employer’s instructions for resumes, cover letters, work samples, and screening questions. Review the exported file before submitting it: confirm that contact details are correct, text can be selected, and links reach the intended pages. A resume check can help you spot unclear writing before you apply. Its feedback is advisory and does not predict a hiring decision.
Listings are collected from external sources and may change after they appear here. The employer or recruiting destination controls whether applications are open. If an original link is unavailable, check the company’s careers page for the title or move to another opening. An employer website link is a place to check current vacancies, rather than confirmation that a particular job is still accepting applications.
Keep a simple record of the company, role, job reference, application date, and documents you sent. Record any follow-up instructions and the next action you plan to take. This makes it easier to prepare for interviews, compare opportunities, and avoid applying repeatedly to the same opening through different boards. Review your shortlist as employers update their listings and prioritize opportunities with clear requirements that match the work you want to do.
