Want to join a growing European startup early and be part of an epic journey?
At Maesn we build software for other software companies. We provide an integration platform that lets B2B software companies add integrations to their platforms in hours and days instead of weeks and months. Our customers love us because we are innovative, quick, friendly and provide integrations for systems that others dare not touch.
We are a young dynamic SaaS Startup born in Düsseldorf who believe in working hard and having fun while doing it. You will have the chance to work on all parts of our technology stack and in close collaboration with our customers, to understand their needs and get direct feedback on the changes you ship.
Our platform sits between our customers and dozens of third-party accounting and ERP systems. That makes reliability part of our product. When a call is slow or fails, our customers need to know why, and so do we. You’ll be the senior engineer who owns how our platform runs in production, and you’ll keep building the product alongside the team. You’ll work directly with our CTO, Lennart Svensson, and the wider founder team.
You know every service, how it’s deployed and what it costs. You’ll tighten what’s there and codify what isn’t. As we scale, you’ll keep the architecture simple: we run on managed services and plan to keep it that way.
Metrics, logs, traces and alerts, across our services and the third-party APIs we call. You’ll define what “healthy” means, build the dashboards, and set up alerting and on-call so we catch problems before our clients do. When a mysterious timeout appears, you’re the one who can trace it to its source.
Fintechs trust us with sensitive financial data. You’ll harden the platform, make sure we can deliver on incident response and SLAs, and keep us audit-ready as customers ask for certifications like SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
You’ll ship features and integrations with the rest of the engineering team. You’ll also be the go-to person for production debugging, and you’ll mentor our engineers so the whole team gets better at running what we build.
Experience: 5+ years building and running backend services in production, including real ownership of infrastructure, deployments and incidents.
Production debugging: You’ve chased down latency spikes, timeouts and flaky dependencies, and you know how to go from “something is slow” to the root cause.
Azure: Solid hands-on experience running production workloads on Azure.
Observability: Experience instrumenting services with tracing, structured logging and metrics, ideally with OpenTelemetry or similar.
Infrastructure-as-code mindset: You codify infrastructure rather than clicking through consoles.
Security by default: You think about secrets, access management, and compliance as part of the work, not as an afterthought.
Backend skills: You’re comfortable writing production code in TypeScript/Node.js and enjoy shipping features, not only keeping the lights on.
Pragmatism and mentoring: You pick the simplest setup that works. You enjoy helping less experienced engineers grow, and you’re excited to set the standards for how we run our platform.

Start with a role or skill you want to use in your next job. Use the location and role filters to narrow the results, then open a listing to review the description. A title alone rarely explains the level of responsibility, working arrangement, or experience a team needs. Compare those details before deciding which opportunities deserve a tailored application.
Employers use different titles for similar work. If an exact phrase produces no results, try a shorter title, a core skill, or an alternative name for the role. Remove one filter at a time to understand which requirement is narrowing your search. A broader search can reveal suitable work without asking you to change your actual qualifications.
For each promising listing, read the responsibilities and separate essential requirements from preferences. Note the location, schedule, employment type, and compensation when provided. Missing details are questions to confirm with the employer. A remote opening may still require a particular country, work authorization, or time-zone overlap, so check the full posting before treating it as a location-independent opportunity.
Choose a few examples that demonstrate the skills this employer names. Explain your contribution and its outcome, using accurate numbers where available. Put the most relevant experience first and keep your resume easy to scan. Avoid adding technologies, qualifications, or achievements simply because they appear in a description. Your application should make your existing strengths easier to understand.
Follow the employer’s instructions for resumes, cover letters, work samples, and screening questions. Review the exported file before submitting it: confirm that contact details are correct, text can be selected, and links reach the intended pages. A resume check can help you spot unclear writing before you apply. Its feedback is advisory and does not predict a hiring decision.
Listings are collected from external sources and may change after they appear here. The employer or recruiting destination controls whether applications are open. If an original link is unavailable, check the company’s careers page for the title or move to another opening. An employer website link is a place to check current vacancies, rather than confirmation that a particular job is still accepting applications.
Keep a simple record of the company, role, job reference, application date, and documents you sent. Record any follow-up instructions and the next action you plan to take. This makes it easier to prepare for interviews, compare opportunities, and avoid applying repeatedly to the same opening through different boards. Review your shortlist as employers update their listings and prioritize opportunities with clear requirements that match the work you want to do.
