Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the country in which the role is being hired. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
Mark43’s mission is to empower communities and their governments with new technologies that improve the safety and quality of life for all. We build powerful, scalable, and elegant software that sets a new standard for the tools upon which our first responders rely. Our users are diverse, and we are therefore committed to embracing diversity of thought and experience within our team.
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team and help build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure that powers our mission-critical public safety platform. In this role, you will focus on improving infrastructure reliability, automating deployments, enhancing observability, and enabling engineering teams to develop and deliver software efficiently.
You will work closely with Engineering, Security, and other cross-functional teams to ensure our cloud infrastructure is scalable, secure, highly available, and fault tolerant. You will leverage technologies such as AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Grafana to improve our infrastructure, streamline developer workflows, and drive operational excellence across the platform.
If you were a part of our team, here are some things you would have done last week:
Manage and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and high availability.
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
Develop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application builds, testing, and deployments.
Drive GitOps practices and automation using technologies such as Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.
Improve platform observability by implementing and optimizing monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities.
Build internal tools and automation that improve developer productivity, reduce manual processes, and enable engineering teams to deploy software more efficiently.
Partner with engineering teams to establish DevOps best practices, improve deployment workflows, and strengthen platform reliability.
Identify and resolve infrastructure performance bottlenecks, operational inefficiencies, and potential points of failure.
Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation to support production infrastructure and troubleshoot critical incidents.
Own and drive infrastructure projects that contribute to the long-term scalability, stability, and health of the Mark43 platform.
5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related infrastructure-focused role.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for application builds, testing, and deployments.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code technologies, particularly Terraform.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
Experience implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
Familiarity with GitOps practices and deployment automation tools such as ArgoCD.
Experience with scripting or programming to automate infrastructure operations, improve developer workflows, and build internal tooling.
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and compliance best practices.
Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance and reliability.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently, take ownership of technical projects, and partner effectively with engineering teams.
Working with a team that respects and embraces your ideas and expertise.
Building mission-critical and socially responsible software to enable first responders to better serve their communities.
Contributing to the advancement of public safety software across Local, State, Federal, and DoD agencies.
Opportunities for career growth in an environment where your achievements will be celebrated.
An organization investing in its people to support our continued growth, with excellent benefits and a strong long-term strategy.
Working towards a worthwhile mission with a team of friendly and intelligent coworkers.
Constant collaboration within the Platform Division and with other teams, including Product, Engineering, Security, and Technical Services.

Start with a role or skill you want to use in your next job. Use the location and role filters to narrow the results, then open a listing to review the description. A title alone rarely explains the level of responsibility, working arrangement, or experience a team needs. Compare those details before deciding which opportunities deserve a tailored application.
Employers use different titles for similar work. If an exact phrase produces no results, try a shorter title, a core skill, or an alternative name for the role. Remove one filter at a time to understand which requirement is narrowing your search. A broader search can reveal suitable work without asking you to change your actual qualifications.
For each promising listing, read the responsibilities and separate essential requirements from preferences. Note the location, schedule, employment type, and compensation when provided. Missing details are questions to confirm with the employer. A remote opening may still require a particular country, work authorization, or time-zone overlap, so check the full posting before treating it as a location-independent opportunity.
Choose a few examples that demonstrate the skills this employer names. Explain your contribution and its outcome, using accurate numbers where available. Put the most relevant experience first and keep your resume easy to scan. Avoid adding technologies, qualifications, or achievements simply because they appear in a description. Your application should make your existing strengths easier to understand.
Follow the employer’s instructions for resumes, cover letters, work samples, and screening questions. Review the exported file before submitting it: confirm that contact details are correct, text can be selected, and links reach the intended pages. A resume check can help you spot unclear writing before you apply. Its feedback is advisory and does not predict a hiring decision.
Listings are collected from external sources and may change after they appear here. The employer or recruiting destination controls whether applications are open. If an original link is unavailable, check the company’s careers page for the title or move to another opening. An employer website link is a place to check current vacancies, rather than confirmation that a particular job is still accepting applications.
Keep a simple record of the company, role, job reference, application date, and documents you sent. Record any follow-up instructions and the next action you plan to take. This makes it easier to prepare for interviews, compare opportunities, and avoid applying repeatedly to the same opening through different boards. Review your shortlist as employers update their listings and prioritize opportunities with clear requirements that match the work you want to do.
