We are a growing B2B ecommerce SaaS company helping businesses sell smarter and faster. Our multi-tenant platform powers enterprise customers across multiple industries, processing sensitive financial data—including credit card payments—while maintaining rigorous PCIDSS compliance.
Built on a scalable cloud-native architecture with robust public APIs and a MySQL-backed data platform, we deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance commerce solutions that our customers depend on every day.
We're a fully distributed engineering team that values ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and building software the right way.
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Spring) to help design, build, and evolve our ecommerce platform. You'll work closely with Product and other engineers to solve complex technical problems, shape the architecture of our platform, and deliver secure, scalable solutions for our customers.
Beyond writing code, you'll mentor other engineers, drive engineering best practices, and help ensure our systems remain secure, reliable, and compliant.

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Spring Boot services powering our SaaS ecommerce platform.
Design secure, scalable, and highly available solutions that meet PCIDSS and other security requirements.
Design and build REST APIs that are intuitive, backwards-compatible, secure, and performant.
Collaborate with Product, QA, and other engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
Design and optimize relational database schemas, queries, and data access patterns using MySQL.
Participate in architectural discussions and help drive technical decisions across the platform.
Write clean, maintainable, and idiomatic Java using modern language features and engineering best practices.
Champion engineering best practices including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and documentation.
Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery, while owning the correctness, security, and maintainability of everything you ship.
Take ownership of features from design through production, including monitoring and operational support.
Work in small, incremental pull requests with a strong emphasis on code reviews, automated testing, and continuous delivery.
Help evolve our architecture by challenging assumptions and continuously improving how we build software.
Mentor and support engineers through technical leadership, design reviews, and pair programming.
Troubleshoot production issues and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
Operated as a senior engineer or technical lead on Java backend applications.
Strong expertise with Spring Boot 3+ and the broader Spring ecosystem.
Strong proficiency with modern Java, with new development targeting Java 25.
Ability to write clean, idiomatic Java using modern language features such as streams, lambda expressions, Optional, records, and pattern matching.
Hands-on experience building and operating production workloads on AWS.
Proven ability to design and build RESTful APIs.
Strong SQL skills with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Working knowledge of asynchronous messaging systems (SQS, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).
Experience building and deploying containerized applications.
Experience with GitHub Actions or other modern CI/CD platforms.
Hands-on experience using AI coding tools in professional work, with sound judgment about when to trust, verify, or discard their output, and a clear understanding of what data must never be shared with them.
Solid understanding of software design principles and distributed systems.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
A track record of mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
Self-motivated and effective working in a remote-first environment.
Experience building and operating multi-tenant SaaS applications.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and GitOps practices.
Hands-on experience deploying and operating AWS services including VPCs, ALBs, EC2, ECS, SQS, and S3.
Understanding of payment processing systems, PCIDSS, and security best practices.
Background in ecommerce, fintech, or payment processing.
Familiarity with API security concepts including OAuth 2.0, JWT, authentication, authorization, and rate limiting.
Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and modern testing frameworks.
Experience establishing team practices for AI-assisted development (e.g., shared context and conventions files, review standards for AI-generated code, guardrails for sensitive data).

Start with a role or skill you want to use in your next job. Use the location and role filters to narrow the results, then open a listing to review the description. A title alone rarely explains the level of responsibility, working arrangement, or experience a team needs. Compare those details before deciding which opportunities deserve a tailored application.
Employers use different titles for similar work. If an exact phrase produces no results, try a shorter title, a core skill, or an alternative name for the role. Remove one filter at a time to understand which requirement is narrowing your search. A broader search can reveal suitable work without asking you to change your actual qualifications.
For each promising listing, read the responsibilities and separate essential requirements from preferences. Note the location, schedule, employment type, and compensation when provided. Missing details are questions to confirm with the employer. A remote opening may still require a particular country, work authorization, or time-zone overlap, so check the full posting before treating it as a location-independent opportunity.
Choose a few examples that demonstrate the skills this employer names. Explain your contribution and its outcome, using accurate numbers where available. Put the most relevant experience first and keep your resume easy to scan. Avoid adding technologies, qualifications, or achievements simply because they appear in a description. Your application should make your existing strengths easier to understand.
Follow the employer’s instructions for resumes, cover letters, work samples, and screening questions. Review the exported file before submitting it: confirm that contact details are correct, text can be selected, and links reach the intended pages. A resume check can help you spot unclear writing before you apply. Its feedback is advisory and does not predict a hiring decision.
Listings are collected from external sources and may change after they appear here. The employer or recruiting destination controls whether applications are open. If an original link is unavailable, check the company’s careers page for the title or move to another opening. An employer website link is a place to check current vacancies, rather than confirmation that a particular job is still accepting applications.
Keep a simple record of the company, role, job reference, application date, and documents you sent. Record any follow-up instructions and the next action you plan to take. This makes it easier to prepare for interviews, compare opportunities, and avoid applying repeatedly to the same opening through different boards. Review your shortlist as employers update their listings and prioritize opportunities with clear requirements that match the work you want to do.
