DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Full Stack Developer with strong React expertise to join our U.S. Transportation Command – Global Freight Management (GFM) modernization team. This role will take ownership of front-end development using React and JavaScript while contributing to back-end services built with Java and Spring Boot.
The developer will help modernize enterprise applications that support military freight transportation, transforming complex business requirements into intuitive, reliable, and maintainable software. The ideal candidate can independently deliver features, establish reusable front-end development patterns, and collaborate with functional analysts, UI/UX designers, developers, testers, and DevSecOps engineers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
This position is fully remote.
Design, develop, and maintain React applications that support GFM modernization, taking ownership of front-end features from technical design through delivery.
Collaborate with functional analysts and UI/UX designers to translate requirements and designs into responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.
Develop reusable React components and consistent approaches to state management, navigation, forms, validation, and error handling.
Integrate React applications with RESTful APIs and contribute to the development and maintenance of back-end services using Java and Spring Boot.
Modernize legacy functionality while preserving essential business rules and supporting continuity for users.
Write maintainable, secure code and automated tests; participate in code reviews and mentor other developers in React and front-end development practices.
Troubleshoot issues across the front end, APIs, and back-end services, addressing performance, reliability, and usability concerns.
Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers to integrate applications and automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support deployment across environments.
Work with testers to validate functionality, resolve defects, and ensure features meet acceptance criteria.
Contribute to technical planning, estimates, and documentation, and communicate implementation options, dependencies, and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Minimum of five years of experience in software development or a similar role.
Active IAT Level II certification; CompTIA Security+ CE highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another technical discipline related to designing information systems.
Strong, recent hands-on experience developing and maintaining production applications using React and JavaScript, including functional components, hooks, component composition, and state management.
Proficiency in HTML and CSS, including responsive layouts and cross-browser compatibility.
Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs, including asynchronous data handling, authentication flows, and error handling.
Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for developing and maintaining back-end application functionality and services.
Strong understanding of software design principles, reusable components, and maintainable application architecture.
Experience writing automated tests and using browser developer tools to troubleshoot application behavior and performance.
Experience using Git, participating in code reviews, and working with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Jenkins.
Experience working in Linux environments to support application development and troubleshooting.
Experience using Jira and Confluence, or similar tools, for work tracking and technical documentation.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, collaborate across disciplines, and manage competing priorities.
Experience developing React applications with TypeScript.
Experience modernizing legacy user interfaces, including applications built with AngularJS or similar frameworks.
Experience with front-end testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
Experience implementing accessible interfaces and working with reusable component libraries or design systems.
Familiarity with containerized applications, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud environments.
Experience supporting Department of Defense or other large enterprise systems with complex business workflows.

Start with a role or skill you want to use in your next job. Use the location and role filters to narrow the results, then open a listing to review the description. A title alone rarely explains the level of responsibility, working arrangement, or experience a team needs. Compare those details before deciding which opportunities deserve a tailored application.
Employers use different titles for similar work. If an exact phrase produces no results, try a shorter title, a core skill, or an alternative name for the role. Remove one filter at a time to understand which requirement is narrowing your search. A broader search can reveal suitable work without asking you to change your actual qualifications.
For each promising listing, read the responsibilities and separate essential requirements from preferences. Note the location, schedule, employment type, and compensation when provided. Missing details are questions to confirm with the employer. A remote opening may still require a particular country, work authorization, or time-zone overlap, so check the full posting before treating it as a location-independent opportunity.
Choose a few examples that demonstrate the skills this employer names. Explain your contribution and its outcome, using accurate numbers where available. Put the most relevant experience first and keep your resume easy to scan. Avoid adding technologies, qualifications, or achievements simply because they appear in a description. Your application should make your existing strengths easier to understand.
Follow the employer’s instructions for resumes, cover letters, work samples, and screening questions. Review the exported file before submitting it: confirm that contact details are correct, text can be selected, and links reach the intended pages. A resume check can help you spot unclear writing before you apply. Its feedback is advisory and does not predict a hiring decision.
Listings are collected from external sources and may change after they appear here. The employer or recruiting destination controls whether applications are open. If an original link is unavailable, check the company’s careers page for the title or move to another opening. An employer website link is a place to check current vacancies, rather than confirmation that a particular job is still accepting applications.
Keep a simple record of the company, role, job reference, application date, and documents you sent. Record any follow-up instructions and the next action you plan to take. This makes it easier to prepare for interviews, compare opportunities, and avoid applying repeatedly to the same opening through different boards. Review your shortlist as employers update their listings and prioritize opportunities with clear requirements that match the work you want to do.
