RethinkFirst was founded in 2007 with a mission to provide scalable, evidence-based autism treatment training tools and caregiver supports to an underserved population. In 2010, Rethink launched its first solution, a suite of special needs and behavior management offerings, to support K-12 education. Over time, we expanded our offerings to support the entire behavioral health community by adding solutions in the employer (RethinkCare), provider (RethinkBH), and payor (RethinkFutures) industries, and to drive whole child wellness and success in education (RethinkEd).
Today, we are proud to have almost 500 team members supporting more than 2,000 customers worldwide as we work together to strengthen our communities and help every individual reach their potential.
RethinkFirst is transforming the behavioral health landscape by inspiring and empowering individuals with behavioral health challenges and those who support them. We continue to invest in data science, analytics, and technology that improve outcomes and enable value-based care.
RethinkFirst is seeking a Social Media Specialist to execute organic social media programs across RethinkBH, RethinkCare, RethinkEd, and RethinkFirst. This role will translate company and business-unit priorities into clear, engaging content; manage day-to-day publishing and community activity; and use performance insights to strengthen future work. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and organized operator who understands how content should change by platform, audience, and business objective.
Manage the enterprise social media calendar across priority channels, coordinating content for multiple business lines, audiences, and campaign timelines.
Draft platform-appropriate copy, creative briefs, executive posts, and short-form content that make complex behavioral health, education, and workplace topics accessible and engaging.
Publish and schedule approved content, maintain accurate links and tagging, and complete final quality checks before posts go live.
Partner with Creative and Brand, Content, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and business-unit leaders to gather inputs and convert broader campaign plans into effective organic social content.
Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and relevant conversations; respond or route issues promptly while following brand, privacy, and escalation guidelines.
Track channel and content performance, identify practical insights, and recommend adjustments to topics, formats, cadence, and distribution.
Stay current on platform changes, audience behavior, and emerging formats, testing new approaches when they support the brand and business goals.
Maintain organized content, approvals, and reporting records so stakeholders have clear visibility into upcoming and completed work.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 to 4 years of experience supporting organic social media for a company, agency, or mission-driven organization.
Strong writing and editing skills, with work samples that demonstrate an ability to adapt voice and format for different audiences and channels.
Hands-on experience with major social platforms and a social scheduling or listening tool such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or a comparable platform.
Working knowledge of social analytics and the ability to turn results into clear recommendations.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through across multiple concurrent deadlines.
Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, content partners, subject-matter experts, and senior stakeholders in a remote environment.
Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, education technology, HR technology, or B2B software.
Experience developing short-form video concepts, repurposing long-form content, or supporting executive social media.
Familiarity with accessibility, privacy, and brand-review considerations for social content.

Start with a role or skill you want to use in your next job. Use the location and role filters to narrow the results, then open a listing to review the description. A title alone rarely explains the level of responsibility, working arrangement, or experience a team needs. Compare those details before deciding which opportunities deserve a tailored application.
Employers use different titles for similar work. If an exact phrase produces no results, try a shorter title, a core skill, or an alternative name for the role. Remove one filter at a time to understand which requirement is narrowing your search. A broader search can reveal suitable work without asking you to change your actual qualifications.
For each promising listing, read the responsibilities and separate essential requirements from preferences. Note the location, schedule, employment type, and compensation when provided. Missing details are questions to confirm with the employer. A remote opening may still require a particular country, work authorization, or time-zone overlap, so check the full posting before treating it as a location-independent opportunity.
Choose a few examples that demonstrate the skills this employer names. Explain your contribution and its outcome, using accurate numbers where available. Put the most relevant experience first and keep your resume easy to scan. Avoid adding technologies, qualifications, or achievements simply because they appear in a description. Your application should make your existing strengths easier to understand.
Follow the employer’s instructions for resumes, cover letters, work samples, and screening questions. Review the exported file before submitting it: confirm that contact details are correct, text can be selected, and links reach the intended pages. A resume check can help you spot unclear writing before you apply. Its feedback is advisory and does not predict a hiring decision.
Listings are collected from external sources and may change after they appear here. The employer or recruiting destination controls whether applications are open. If an original link is unavailable, check the company’s careers page for the title or move to another opening. An employer website link is a place to check current vacancies, rather than confirmation that a particular job is still accepting applications.
Keep a simple record of the company, role, job reference, application date, and documents you sent. Record any follow-up instructions and the next action you plan to take. This makes it easier to prepare for interviews, compare opportunities, and avoid applying repeatedly to the same opening through different boards. Review your shortlist as employers update their listings and prioritize opportunities with clear requirements that match the work you want to do.
