Goodie Bag is a marketplace for local surplus food, connecting local shops and customers to reduce food waste and promote sustainable practices. We're expanding our team and looking for a creative, driven Social Media & Video Editing Intern to help tell our story, drive engagement, and build our brand across channels.
We're looking for an intern whose superpower is making scroll-stopping social content and editing dynamic videos that get real results. You'll run our Instagram and TikTok day to day, producing Reels, TikToks, Stories, and static posts that grow our following and support new-market launches.
You won't be starting from scratch. We have a large library of existing content ready to use, so you'll have plenty to get running right away. You'll work directly with our founders, including building the content calendar together, and get hands-on experience in both creative work and performance analysis.
$800/month for 6 months ($4,800 for the full internship)
Minimum 10 hours per week, flexible schedule, fully remote
Content Creation: Write captions, design graphics (Canva, Figma, etc.), and film short-form videos that showcase Goodie Bag's mission and partners.
Cross-Posting: Publish every Reel to both Instagram and TikTok, adapting captions, sounds, and formats to each platform.
Video Editing: Turn raw and existing footage into engaging clips with captions, branding overlays, and music that fit platform best practices.
Account Management: Handle the day-to-day of our accounts, including comments, DMs, community engagement, and keeping our profiles current.
Content Calendar: Plan and own the content calendar with the founders.
Market Launch Prep: Help create localized social assets for new-market activations and partner spotlights.
Future Marketing Initiatives: As you grow, you'll get the chance to pitch campaign ideas, support email marketing creative, and work on brand partnerships.
5 posts per week: 3 Reels (cross-posted to Instagram and TikTok) and 2 static posts
A content calendar, built and kept up to date with the founders
Enthusiasm for social media trends, short-form video, and storytelling.
Hands-on with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar).
Familiarity with graphic tools (Canva, Photoshop, Figma).
Strong writing and editing skills and an eye for visual detail.
Organized self-starter who can juggle multiple content streams and deadlines.
Basic comfort with data: able to read platform analytics and spot performance patterns.
Bonus: experience with TikTok specifically, or with coordinating influencers or running small campaigns.
Real-world social media and video production experience at a mission-driven startup.
Networking with influencers, brands, and sustainability leaders.
Direct work with our founders to sharpen your creative and analytical skills.
Potential to grow into broader marketing or brand partnership roles.
Join us at Goodie Bag and help spread our mission of sustainability and community impact through social media! Please express interest by filling out the application on our main job site:

Start with a role or skill you want to use in your next job. Use the location and role filters to narrow the results, then open a listing to review the description. A title alone rarely explains the level of responsibility, working arrangement, or experience a team needs. Compare those details before deciding which opportunities deserve a tailored application.
Employers use different titles for similar work. If an exact phrase produces no results, try a shorter title, a core skill, or an alternative name for the role. Remove one filter at a time to understand which requirement is narrowing your search. A broader search can reveal suitable work without asking you to change your actual qualifications.
For each promising listing, read the responsibilities and separate essential requirements from preferences. Note the location, schedule, employment type, and compensation when provided. Missing details are questions to confirm with the employer. A remote opening may still require a particular country, work authorization, or time-zone overlap, so check the full posting before treating it as a location-independent opportunity.
Choose a few examples that demonstrate the skills this employer names. Explain your contribution and its outcome, using accurate numbers where available. Put the most relevant experience first and keep your resume easy to scan. Avoid adding technologies, qualifications, or achievements simply because they appear in a description. Your application should make your existing strengths easier to understand.
Follow the employer’s instructions for resumes, cover letters, work samples, and screening questions. Review the exported file before submitting it: confirm that contact details are correct, text can be selected, and links reach the intended pages. A resume check can help you spot unclear writing before you apply. Its feedback is advisory and does not predict a hiring decision.
Listings are collected from external sources and may change after they appear here. The employer or recruiting destination controls whether applications are open. If an original link is unavailable, check the company’s careers page for the title or move to another opening. An employer website link is a place to check current vacancies, rather than confirmation that a particular job is still accepting applications.
Keep a simple record of the company, role, job reference, application date, and documents you sent. Record any follow-up instructions and the next action you plan to take. This makes it easier to prepare for interviews, compare opportunities, and avoid applying repeatedly to the same opening through different boards. Review your shortlist as employers update their listings and prioritize opportunities with clear requirements that match the work you want to do.
