Healthcare in the U.S. is fundamentally broken. The system is so complex that 88% of U.S. adults do not have the health literacy necessary to navigate it without help. Solace cuts through the red tape of healthcare by pairing patients with expert advocates and giving them the tools to make better decisions—and get better outcomes.
We're a Series C startup, founded in 2022 and backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, Signalfire, and IVP. Our U.S. based team is lean, mission-driven, and growing quickly.
Solace isn't a place to coast. We're here to redefine healthcare—and that demands urgency, precision, and heart. If you're looking to stretch yourself, sharpen your edge, and do the best work of your life alongside a team that cares deeply, you're in the right place. We’re intense, and we like it that way.

About the Role
At Solace, data is at the core of how we operate. We’re a rapidly-scaling, multi-sided marketplace connecting patients with healthcare advocates. Understanding how supply, demand, match quality, and reimbursement interact is central to how we run the business.
We are looking for a Data Analyst who thrives in this high-growth environment and excels at transforming data into actionable insights and operational improvements.
In this role, you’ll be the analytical partner to our Operations team. You’ll help close critical gaps in how we understand performance and efficiency across the patient journey and advocate workflows. You’ll build the systems that help us ask better questions and bring insights before anyone asks. Your work will directly shape how we scale, optimize our workflows, and allocate resources across the company.
What You'll Do
Drive Operational Excellence: Find bottlenecks and inefficiencies across the patient journey (intake, match, active care) and in advocate workflows. Don’t wait for the ticket queue: surface the problems worth solving and turn complex data into operational improvements that move the business forward.
Model Capacity & Throughput: Analyze advocate utilization, caseloads, and supply/demand balance so Operations can staff ahead of growth instead of behind it.
Build Scalable Analytics: Design, build, and maintain dashboards in Hex that automate manual reporting and give Operations, Product, Marketing, and Finance self-serve access to the metrics that matter most.
Curate the Data Layer: Partner with engineering to keep data models clean and reliable, and help refine our SQL and dbt transformations so our infrastructure keeps up with our growth.
Synthesize & Communicate: Turn technical findings into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences. Explain why trends are happening and what leadership should do about them.
Wrangle Complex Data: Work with structured and semi-structured data, including nested JSON and healthcare operational data, to pull signal out of the noise.
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in data analytics, including time in healthcare operations (health tech, provider, payer, or care delivery) where data directly informed operational decisions.
Healthcare operations fluency: You understand how care delivery actually runs, including intake, scheduling, caseloads, and SLAs, and you know where the operational data tends to break.
Business impact orientation: You judge your work by the business outcome it produced, not by what you built. You lead with the “so what” before the methodology and can speak to the impact of your work without being prompted.
Advanced SQL & Snowflake: You write efficient, complex queries against cloud data warehouses like Snowflake.
BI & dashboarding: Strong experience designing interactive dashboards and reports. Hex (or a similar notebook-based BI tool) is highly preferred; Looker, Tableau, or Metabase experience is also valuable.
Data wrangling expertise: You’re comfortable with messy, real-world data, including parsing nested JSON and cleaning unstructured datasets.
AI fluency: You use AI to speed up SQL and analysis, and you have the judgment to check its output against the data and catch it when it’s confidently wrong.
Analytical mindset: You don’t just pull data. You analyze it to find the root cause of business problems.
Strong communication: You can explain complex data concepts to operators, product managers, and executives alike.
Bias toward action: You’re comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities, and you’ll jump in wherever the team needs you. You’d rather ship a good answer today than a perfect answer in three weeks.
Bonus Points
dbt and Git (highly preferred): You can manage your own transformations, contribute to core data models, and work in version control.
Healthcare reimbursement exposure: Familiarity with claims, billing codes, or Medicare reimbursement.
Python/R: For automation, statistical analysis, or forecasting.
Process optimization: You’ve used data to streamline workflows and cut manual overhead in an operations setting.
Applicants must be based in the United States.

Fraudulent Recruitment Advisory: Solace Health will NEVER request bank details or offer employment without an interview. All legitimate communications come from official solace.health emails only or ashbyhq.com. Report suspicious activity to recruiting@solace.health or advocate@solace.health.
Start with a role or skill you want to use in your next job. Use the location and role filters to narrow the results, then open a listing to review the description. A title alone rarely explains the level of responsibility, working arrangement, or experience a team needs. Compare those details before deciding which opportunities deserve a tailored application.
Employers use different titles for similar work. If an exact phrase produces no results, try a shorter title, a core skill, or an alternative name for the role. Remove one filter at a time to understand which requirement is narrowing your search. A broader search can reveal suitable work without asking you to change your actual qualifications.
For each promising listing, read the responsibilities and separate essential requirements from preferences. Note the location, schedule, employment type, and compensation when provided. Missing details are questions to confirm with the employer. A remote opening may still require a particular country, work authorization, or time-zone overlap, so check the full posting before treating it as a location-independent opportunity.
Choose a few examples that demonstrate the skills this employer names. Explain your contribution and its outcome, using accurate numbers where available. Put the most relevant experience first and keep your resume easy to scan. Avoid adding technologies, qualifications, or achievements simply because they appear in a description. Your application should make your existing strengths easier to understand.
Follow the employer’s instructions for resumes, cover letters, work samples, and screening questions. Review the exported file before submitting it: confirm that contact details are correct, text can be selected, and links reach the intended pages. A resume check can help you spot unclear writing before you apply. Its feedback is advisory and does not predict a hiring decision.
Listings are collected from external sources and may change after they appear here. The employer or recruiting destination controls whether applications are open. If an original link is unavailable, check the company’s careers page for the title or move to another opening. An employer website link is a place to check current vacancies, rather than confirmation that a particular job is still accepting applications.
Keep a simple record of the company, role, job reference, application date, and documents you sent. Record any follow-up instructions and the next action you plan to take. This makes it easier to prepare for interviews, compare opportunities, and avoid applying repeatedly to the same opening through different boards. Review your shortlist as employers update their listings and prioritize opportunities with clear requirements that match the work you want to do.
