Job Description

Tech Pipeline works with operations teams to fix the broken middle of their business processes by identifying where data goes bad and where approval chains get stuck. We are currently supporting a Spanish telecommunications provider as it expands its digital infrastructure, helping them bridge the gap between their current tools and their actual operational needs. This role is about getting into the technical reality of how work moves through a system and ensuring that nothing gets lost in the transition.

About the role
As a Workflow Automation Assistant, you will help our team audit and repair the logic that keeps data moving. Our clients often reach out when they have overgrown their tech stack, leading to manual workarounds and messy backlogs. You will assist in tracing these problems back to their source, whether that is a broken routing rule or a disconnected reporting pipeline. This is a fully remote position that requires a focus on ground truth and practical fixes. You will support the team by looking at actual logs and configurations to see why a process is failing and then help us implement a solution that stays fixed.

What you will be doing
  • Reading system logs to identify where a digital process stalled or timed out.
  • Updating routing rules within internal software to ensure tasks reach the correct operator.
  • Performing manual reconciliations to find where data in one system differs from another.
  • Drafting clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) so client teams can manage new workflows.
  • Testing automated sequences to verify that messages and notifications are hitting the right queues.
  • Documenting specific integration gaps that cause friction for the people doing the daily work.
  • Checking backlogs to ensure that every entry has been categorized and routed correctly.
  • Monitoring live systems during the first month of operation to catch any drifting numbers.

What we need from you
  • A basic understanding of how different software applications share information.
  • The ability to follow a logical path to find the source of an error or a delay.
  • Clear writing skills that allow you to explain a technical problem without using jargon.
  • Strong attention to detail when looking at spreadsheets, logs, or configuration screens.
  • The self discipline to manage your own tasks in a fully remote environment.
  • A preference for following a process through to completion rather than leaving tasks half finished.
  • Comfort with repetitive data checks when they are necessary to confirm a system is working.

Helpful background
  • Experience using simple automation tools like Zapier, Make, or Excel formulas.
  • Previous work in a customer support, help desk, or administrative operations role.
  • Familiarity with how ticketing systems or project management tools are structured.
  • Broad interest in how telecommunications or digital infrastructure businesses operate.

What the role offers
  • A permanent, full-time position with a focus on meaningful, technical work.
  • Attractive and competitive pay for an entry level role in the current market.
  • The flexibility of a fully remote work arrangement without any office requirements.
  • Hands on experience learning how to audit and repair complex business systems.
  • A working environment that prioritizes deep work over constant status meetings.
  • The chance to see the immediate result of your work as you clear operational drag.

Working at Tech Pipeline
At Tech Pipeline, we value documentation and direct communication. We do not spend our days in long brainstorming sessions or discussing abstract frameworks: we focus on the config and the logs. Our team stays connected through clear written updates rather than constant calls, allowing everyone more time to focus on solving the problem at hand. We believe in building systems that our clients can eventually run without our help, which means our work has to be simple, durable, and well documented. If you enjoy untangling a messy process and seeing exactly how a digital system functions under the hood, you will find this work rewarding.
