Job description

ParentSquare is a rapidly growing Santa Barbara-based company that’s changing the way schools and parents communicate every day. Sound simple? We strive to keep it that way! Our mission is to give schools the power to incredibly enhance family engagement for all students. ParentSquare and RemindHub, our flagship products, serve over 22 million students and drive our mission by providing unified communications tools -forms, sign ups, payments, RSVPs, direct messaging, language translations, chat and more. Remind Chat, our free product, reaches over 80% of K-12 students, providing a safe and easy-to-use platform for direct communication between teachers and families. And our latest innovation, SmartSites, offers state-of-the-art websites for school districts, enhancing their online presence and accessibility.

We are not just creating a product; we are creating empowered educators and engaged parents to improve the lives of all students. We are passionate advocates for our customers and for our employees and we invite you to join us on this exciting journey.

Who we’re looking for:

ParentSquare is seeking a VP, Growth & Lifecycle Marketing to ParentSquare's audience growth engine — connecting content, community, customer lifecycle, advocacy, and demand generation into one system that drives adoption, expansion, and long-term customer value. Reporting to the CMO, you'll directly manage Demand Gen, Email, Pendo, Webinars, and Events, and partner closely with Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales on shared growth motions.

This role will include:

Audience Growth & Content:

Develop ParentSquare's audience growth strategy across prospects, customers, advocates, and influencers

Partner with Communications on an integrated content plan

Establish audience engagement metrics and measurement frameworks

Build top-of-funnel and mid-funnel education programs with broader teams, including buyer enablement for products with multiple decision-makers

Lifecycle & Expansion:

Design lifecycle journeys from prospect to sales handoff, to implementation, to customer success, and back to upsell, renewal, and advocacy

Establish governance, segmentation, and communication standards across Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Sales

Support expansion motions for Attendance Plus, Payments, Smart Sites, and future offerings

Demand & Revenue:

Lead Demand Generation, Email Marketing, and Events to improve pipeline efficiency and channel performance

Own event strategy across virtual and in-person programs, making sure they carry our campaigns and stories to the right audiences

Leadership & Partnership:

Lead and grow a team of managers and specialists across Demand Gen, Email, Pendo, Webinars, and Events

Partner with RevOps and Marketing Analytics to keep targeting, timing, and messaging sharp, and to keep learning from the data

Partner with Legal and Security to keep our marketing aligned with the safety and privacy standards our K-12 audience requires

Represent Marketing on the company leadership council as the function's only VP — a key seat for cross-functional alignment

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

12+ years in growth, lifecycle, or demand generation marketing, including several years in a senior leadership role; SaaS experience required and Edtech experience a strong plus

Proven experience building or scaling an audience growth engine with multiple products

People leadership experience managing managers; you've led a team of 5+ across multiple disciplines

A track record of measurable pipeline and revenue contribution from owned and organic channels, and fluency with the KPIs that prove it

Experience running or overseeing event marketing (virtual and in-person) as part of a broader growth strategy

Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels — you can set the vision and still dig into a campaign or lifecycle journey when it matters

Experience working in a regulated or privacy-sensitive environment

Fluent with modern growth technology: HubSpot, Pendo, Zoom Webinar tools, Asana, and more

Track record and examples of using AI to scale content, targeting, and measurement

Most importantly, you’re someone who shares in our passion for improving the lives of students through communication.

The perks of working for us are great!

You’ll get your foot in the door as our company continues to grow. We’re big believers in work-life balance and provide:

Employer-paid health insurance (including dependent coverage)

An employer-matched 401K retirement savings program from day 1

Paid Parental Leave

Stock options

Health + wellness reimbursements

PTO that increases each year

15 paid holidays, including your birthday!

As a fully remote team, we’ll make sure you have all the tools and equipment you need to make your home office a place where you can thrive.

We're an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status. We are committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace in compliance with applicable state laws.

The salary range for this role will be $210,000- $260,000, DOE.

Prepare your application

Use the description above to assess your fit for ParentSquare. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.

Match requirements to evidence

Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.

Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.

Check the working arrangement

Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.

Review before submitting

Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.

Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.

Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
