Job description

About us

Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency that specializes in pairing remote work with top-tier talent!
We are dedicated to connecting talented individuals with remarkable companies in need of their skills. Our goal is to create fulfilling job opportunities for professionals around the world.

About the Role

What you'll do

Short-form editing (TikTok, Reels, Shorts, Facebook)

  • Edit a high volume of vertical short-form videos (roughly 30–90 seconds) built to stop the scroll in the first 1–3 seconds.
  • Cut for each platform's native style: pacing, captions, safe zones, aspect ratios, trending audio and formats.
  • Turn raw footage, founder content, creator clips and transformation shoots into multiple hook and format variations per concept.
  • Repurpose long-form episodes into clips, carousels-to-video and cutdowns without losing the story.

Long-form editing (YouTube and Facebook)

  • Edit 8–30+ minute YouTube videos with strong story structure, retention-driven pacing, B-roll, music and sound design.
  • Build intros, chapter breaks, lower thirds and end screens that keep viewers watching.
  • Collaborate on thumbnails and titles with an eye on click-through and retention.

Motion graphics and AI generation

  • Create motion graphics, animated text, transitions and branded templates in After Effects.
  • Stay current on new AI video tools and pitch ways to use them to ship faster or try new formats.

Workflow and ownership

  • Own projects from brief to delivery: organize footage, edit, self-QA, export platform-ready files and hand off on time.
  • Maintain and improve our editing systems: project templates, file naming, folder structures, presets, LUTs, caption styles and export settings.
  • Track work in our project management tool (ClickUp), updating status as each piece moves through the pipeline.
  • Turn around revisions quickly and fold feedback into future edits without being told twice.

How we work

  • Fully remote, async-first. Briefs, footage and feedback live in shared drives, Frame.io and ClickUp, so work keeps moving across time zones.
  • Daily overlap. A short daily check-in during your overlap window with Pacific Time, plus written updates on what shipped and what's blocked.
  • Turnaround expectations. Short-form edits typically delivered within 24 hours of brief; revisions within one business day; long-form on an agreed schedule.
  • Volume. Expect a steady weekly output across short- and long-form. [15–25 short-form + 1–2 long-form per week.]

Requirements

What you bring

Must-haves

  • 3+ years of professional video editing, with a portfolio showing both short-form and long-form work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects..
  • Hands-on experience generating video with Higgsfield AI, with examples of AI-generated or AI-assisted footage used in finished edits.
  • Proven experience editing for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and a clear understanding of how each platform's content differs.
  • A fast, repeatable workflow: you can show how you organize projects, use templates and presets, and ship multiple finished pieces per day.
  • Strong instinct for hooks, pacing, story and sound; you know why one edit holds attention and another doesn't.
  • Clear written English for async communication, briefs and feedback.
  • Reliable high-speed internet, a capable editing machine and your own Adobe Creative Cloud license.
  • At least 4 hours of daily overlap with Pacific Time (PT) for check-ins and fast revisions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with other AI tools (Runway, Kling, Veo, ElevenLabs, CapCut AI features, Topaz).
  • Experience with brand, DTC, beauty, wellness or transformation/before-and-after content.
  • Thumbnail design skills for YouTube.
  • Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve for color grading.
  • Comfort reading organic analytics (retention curves, watch time, saves, shares) and editing toward them.
  • Experience with Frame.io and ClickUp or similar review and project tools.
  • Use Higgsfield AI to generate and extend shots, B-roll, product visuals, scene transitions and stylized effects that would be slow or costly to film.
  • Blend AI-generated assets seamlessly with live footage so the final piece feels on-brand, not obviously synthetic.

Benefits

Compensation and details

  • Type: Full-time, independent contractor
  • Location: Remote, outside the US
  • Pay: $2000, paid monthly
  • Hours: ~40 per week, with at least 4 hours overlapping Pacific Time
  • Equipment: Your own editing setup and Adobe Creative Cloud license; AI tool access provided as needed

Prepare your application

Use the description above to assess your fit for Paired. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.

Match requirements to evidence

Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.

Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.

Check the working arrangement

Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.

Review before submitting

Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.

Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.

Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
