Job description
Please note, this listing is not for an immediate open position but for our Talent Pool for VFX Compositors.
Grip is looking for a VFX Compositor to support the on-set and VFX production for our clients! An exciting opportunity as you’ll be working with some of our biggest clients, travelling around the world to be present during shooting and filming.
You are hands-on and have experience in editing, effects, and compositing software. You are operationally involved in VFX production and are able to combine all elements (Live action, 2D, and 3D) that make one shot as if they naturally belong in one space and balance between the creative and technical side of each component.
What is Grip?
With the help of Grip, companies such as L'Oréal, Coca-Cola and Beiersdorf are automating content production for their entire business. Grip moves classic creation and production efforts into the cloud, where a software solution takes care of generating high-quality visuals, at scale, on-demand and based on data. Brand styles, as well as product look and feel are codified, which ensures an entirely consistent, always on-brand output, no matter who (or what) requests it.
In the few years since we launch, more than 50% of the biggest FMCG / CPG companies started working with Grip. We grow fast as we build a product that changes the whole industry - and the next one after
What will you be doing?
Composite 3D products into live-action footage, matching lighting, reflections, shadows, colour, focus, motion blur, and grain.
Adapt product packaging, labels, pack sizes, and liquid colours for different markets, using approved artwork and product references.
Replace products while keeping hands, people, and the original footage looking natural.
Work on tracking, rotoscoping, keying, paint work, and cleanup, rebuilding backgrounds where needed.
Use render passes and Cryptomattes to refine product materials, reflections, transparency, and lighting.
Keep product shapes, label placement, colours, and materials accurate across all shots and market versions.
Build organised compositing setups that can be reused and updated across multiple adaptations.
Work within GRIP’s pipeline, following file naming, versioning, colour management, and delivery requirements.
Check every shot for visual and technical issues, including single-frame errors, missing masks, flickering, and render inconsistencies.
Work closely with 3D artists, editors, project managers, and VFX supervisors to deliver shots that match the brief and approved master.
Apply feedback consistently across versions, flag issues early, and deliver on schedule.
Find practical and creative solutions that respect the client’s vision and project deadlines.
Support shoots by making sure the required plates, HDRIs, camera information, and references are captured.

Would be amazing if you have:
A background in VFX compositing, knowledge of 3D, and an understanding of photography and cameras.
At least 5–7 years of hands-on experience with Nuke, with strong technical skills in node-based compositing and building organised, efficient, reusable node setups.
Ideally, 3–5 years of experience with After Effects.
Experience with product replacement, advertising, and adapting content for different markets.
Strong skills in tracking, rotoscoping, keying, cleanup, and integrating CG into live-action footage.
An understanding of 3D rendering workflows, render passes, Cryptomattes, and 2D and 3D tracking.
Experience managing multiple shots and versions while keeping quality consistent.
Confidence working with clients and creative teams.
Fast, reliable internet, a powerful computer that can handle 4K footage, and enough storage for large project files.
Experience planning VFX before a shoot, including tracking markers, green screens, stand-in objects, and cleanup requirements.
Experience supporting shoots and guiding the capture of clean plates, hand plates, 360° HDRIs, and reference images.
Flexibility to travel when needed.

Prepare your application
Use the description above to assess your fit for INDG. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.
Match requirements to evidence
Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.
Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.
Check the working arrangement
Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.
Review before submitting
Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.
Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.
Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
