Temp Certified Payroll Specialist

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Certified Payroll Compliance Specialist to join their team for a temporary duration 2-3 months. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $35 to $45 per hour. Job Responsibilities: Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency. Conduct regular audits of payroll processes to identify and rectify discrepancies. Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Keep abreast of changes in payroll laws and regulations and update payroll processes accordingly. Provide training and support to payroll staff on compliance-related matters. Keep accurate records of payroll transactions, including employee hours, wages, and deductions. Work closely with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing. Qualifications/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in certified payroll and a prevailing wage compliance. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), (prevailing wages). In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Proficiency in payroll tacking software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel). Strong organizational and time management skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
