Job Title:Sterile Processing Technician Location:Moses Lake, WAFacility:Samaritan HealthcareJob Type:Contract (13 Weeks, Extendable)Shift:Day ShiftGuaranteed Hours:Minimum 40 hours/week Compensation:Pay Rate:$47/hour Overtime Rate:$57/hour (after 40 hours) Weekly Gross:$1,880 (based on 40 hours) W2 Rate:$18.13/hour Weekly Stipend:$1,154.80 Job Summary:The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment in accordance with hospital policies and industry standards.This role ensures the integrity of sterile supplies to support safe and effective patient care.Key Responsibilities:Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment Operate sterilization equipment including steam, Sterrad, EO, and ultrasonic systems Inspect instruments for functionality and ensure proper assembly of trays Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes and follow recall procedures Perform quality assurance testing in accordance with AAMI and AORN standards Manage inventory and ensure timely distribution of sterile supplies Process flexible scopes and specialty instruments as required Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing or related experience preferred CST / IAHCSMM / HSPA certification preferred BLS certification required within 3 months of hire Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control standards Skills:Sterilization, Decontamination, Instrumentation, InfectionControl, Documentation, QualityControl, Inventory, Compliance, TimeManagement, Communication Work Environment:Hospital setting - Sterile Processing / Perioperative Services Additional Information:Day shift schedule with potential overtime Up to 24 hours of call-off allowed during assignment Opportunity to work in a fast-paced clinical environment supporting surgical services Job Types:Contract, Travel healthcare Pay:$47.00 per hour Expected hours:No less than 40 per week Benefits:Referral program Application Question(s):Could you please text your email for better communication?
