About The Role

As a Staff Software Engineer (Level G), you will be an individual contributor with a platform-level role. You will oversee the work of a team of builders who build software solutions that enable customers to solve problems at scale. We are looking for a "Culture Champion" capable of guiding the team through uncertainty, providing clarity, autonomy, and a positive impact on both technical work and team members' well-being


What you'll do


  • Abstract complex business processes and translate them into system design diagrams that effectively support financial use cases.
  • Develop and execute use cases within the requested architecture, building and integrating high-performance software solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, advancing standardization, reusability, and scalability.
  • Execute strategic partnerships with regional developer platforms and startups in India, driving high-impact integrations that embed DeepMind technology into the local developer stack.
  • Lead DeepMind’s regional technical strategy and advocacy, representing the organization at key developer events, steering the regional content and advocacy strategy to inspire the developer community.
  • Influence global product and model research roadmaps by synthesizing technical findings, local constraints, and Indian developer feedback.
  • Align development to roadmap milestones and domain priorities, ensuring continuous value delivery.


What you'll bring


  • Have a completed Bachelor's degree or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Have an advanced level of English proficiency.
  • At least 8 years of solid hands-on coding experience, with a primary focus on the .NET/ASP -Java ecosystem full understanding of spring, spring boot.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Cloud architectures, in addition to having a solid foundation in stand-alone systems.
  • Extensive experience operating under agile methodologies and mastering the full Walmart Development Lifecycle.
  • Deep knowledge of design patterns and integration patterns.
  • Excellent abilities to independently analyze complex issues, develop innovative solutions, and provide technical leadership to the team.
  • Highly collaborative mindset, with an insatiable curiosity to learn and explore software in depth.
  • Nice to have: Prior knowledge or direct experience working in the finance sector.
