About Us
Wild Alaskan Company’s mission is to accelerate humanity’s transition to sustainable food systems by fostering meaningful, interconnected relationships between human beings, wild seafood and the planet.
We deliver wild-caught, sustainable seafood to households across the United States. Powered by our custom-built eCommerce platform and three generations of history and expertise in the Alaskan fishing industry, we constantly strive to meet our promise of a top-notch product and experience. And we do it all in a fully-remote environment that is fast-paced, challenging, and fun.
Description of Role
You’re the type to see a metric move and immediately ask what system underneath it caused the change. You’re not satisfied with shipping features — you want to understand the loops, behaviors and incentives that create lasting business impact.
You naturally zoom between altitude levels. One moment you’re digging through data, customer feedback or operational workflows to uncover an overlooked opportunity. Then you’re kicking off a feature with engineering, product design and stakeholders before a session to help leadership decide where the company should invest the team’s time over the next quarter.
You identify the problems worth solving, articulate why they matter, build conviction across teams and create the path from insight to impact.
You’ll work across Product, Engineering, Data, Creative, Marketing, Member Experience, Finance and Supply Chain & Operations to discover and deliver step-change improvements that deepen our relationship with members and accelerate business growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Identify and solve high-leverage customer and business problems through data analysis, customer insights, experimentation and deep cross-functional discovery
- Uncovers leverage points across multiple domains by stringing multiple problems and opportunities together
- Lead complex, ambiguous initiatives from problem discovery through launch, measurement and iteration
- Build and effectively communicate compelling business cases that clearly communicate opportunity size, tradeoffs, risks, downsides and potential impact
- Create alignment across stakeholders by simplifying complexity and clearly communicating strategic choices
- Collaborate with data to design experiments and measurement frameworks that validate assumptions and accelerate learning
- Consistently identify problems and inefficiencies within the digital product process and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement
- Lead by example and help the product team improve its discovery skills, analytical thinking, communication and judgment
- Serve as a product leader who continuously pushes the organization toward value creation
- Stay close to emerging technologies, especially AI, and identify opportunities to transform how we build experiences and serve users
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Extensive product management experience leading complex, high-impact digital experiences in DTC commerce and/or applications that help form habits
- Proven ability to independently identify systems building solutions, define and communicate strategy, drive measurable business outcomes
- Exceptional analytical ability with experience using data to uncover opportunities, not just validate decisions
- Has led too-many-to-count prioritization and design collaboration sessions
- Strong product intuition paired with deep user empathy
- Ability to create alignment without relying on authority
- Technical fluency (database and systems architecture, product design) and ability to partner deeply with engineering teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience building experimentation frameworks and using insights to guide product direction
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and accountability matters
- Willingness to fill gaps in a selfless manner
- Experience building with AI prototyping tools
Nice to Haves
- Experience applying AI to improve customer-facing experiences
- Background in UX/UI, software engineering and/or data analytics

Prepare your application
Use the description above to assess your fit for Wild Alaskan Company. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.
Match requirements to evidence
Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.
Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.
Check the working arrangement
Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.
Review before submitting
Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.
Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.
Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
