Job description
Role: Staff Product Designer, Growth
Company: Deel
Location: Fully remote
Job type: Full-time
About Deel
Deel is an all-in-one payroll and HR platform for global teams. It covers HRIS, payroll, compliance, benefits and equipment for every type of worker in 150+ countries. About 7,000 people work there, fully remote, across more than 100 countries and 74 languages. Deel reached $1B in annual revenue in just over five years and is valued at $17.3B. It’s pre-IPO and leans heavily into AI. Each designer works with about five engineers, and AI has made the team much faster this year.
About the role
Growth at Deel doesn’t follow a fixed roadmap. The team works from a queue of ideas: lots of CRO experiments and bigger growth bets. On some projects you’ll own the design from start to finish. On others you’ll set the direction and keep the quality high without building a full prototype yourself. Everything you work on ties back to activation, engagement, retention and revenue.
What you’ll do
Lead design across growth projects and connect each one to the numbers that matter: activation, engagement, retention and monetisation.
Design, prototype and A/B test quickly, together with product, engineering, data and marketing.
Work with the Deel UI team on the design system, including motion, animations and micro-interactions that make growth flows feel good.
Spot where users or the team get stuck, and fix it.
Stay close to your engineers from first idea to design QA, and keep the team moving.
Mentor product designers and help improve how the team works day to day.
What you need to succeed
5–7 years in product design, including 2+ at Staff level.
Real growth design experience. Onboarding flows, pricing pages, subscriptions or virality features are a great sign.
Excellent craft, and a portfolio that makes people say “wow”. It needs at least one case study.
You’re comfortable with experiments and data: you form hypotheses, run A/B tests and show measurable results. Amplitude, Mixpanel or similar tools feel familiar.
AI is the first tool you reach for, before Figma or a doc. If you have AI work in your portfolio, we’d love to see it.
You’d rather build than talk about building. You enjoy moving fast and don’t mind figuring things out as you go.
You communicate clearly and bring people with you, across product, engineering, data and marketing.
Nice to have
You can ship your own work to production, for example through the frontend repo, Claude Code or internal tools.
Personal projects you’re proud of.
What you get
High-impact growth work at a pre-IPO company, with stock grants depending on your role and location.
Fully remote, async-friendly work, plus an optional flexible office membership with IWG.
A strong design team to learn from, and a clear career ladder.
Fair pay based on your skills and experience. Deel never asks about your salary history.
Prepare your application
Use the description above to assess your fit for Hirehire. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.
Match requirements to evidence
Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.
Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.
Check the working arrangement
Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.
Review before submitting
Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.
Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.
Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
