STAFF FRONTEND ENGINEER

Fluid's client is seeking a senior frontend engineer to elevate a high-traffic React/TypeScript platform. This role focuses on frontend architecture, developer experience, and guiding best practices across a remote engineering organization. Core Responsibilities Build and refine complex React/TypeScript SPAs backed by REST APIsMaintain and extend an accessible, reusable design systemLead standards around performance, type-safety, and component architecturePartner with backend, mobile, QA, and product on end-to-end deliveryMentor engineers through pairing, reviews, and technical leadershipEnsure reliability through solid testing practices in CI/CDImprove build tooling, test frameworks, and deployment workflowsIntroduce and evaluate AI-supported dev toolsResearch emerging frontend tech and recommend solutionsWhat You Bring ~8+ years building production React/TS applications2+ years in Staff/Lead capacity driving frontend standardsStrong experience integrating REST APIs and managing complex UI stateBackground in design systems, responsive UI, and design tokensDeep testing experience and comfort with CI/CD + observabilityAbility to shape API contracts and navigate async flowsStrong communication and cross-team influenceBonus Skills Micro-frontend or SSR frameworksAdvanced performance profiling and caching strategiesExperience with AI-powered coding/testing toolsOther Details Fully remote in the U.S. (some states excluded)Compensation around $200K+ (base + bonus, DOE/location)Robust benefits: unlimited PTO, full medical, parental leave, 401K, wellness + home office stipends, and professional development support
