Job Description – Senior Finance Data Analyst Department: Accounts & Finance Position: Senior Finance Data Analyst – Data Analytics, BI & Automation Experience: Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Financial Analytics, or Data Analytics involving large-volume datasets. Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Data Analyst who combines strong Accounting & Finance knowledge with advanced Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Automation, and AI capabilities. The candidate will be responsible for analysing large financial datasets, developing automated reports and dashboards, improving reconciliation processes, and providing data-driven insights to support Finance and management decision-making. Key Responsibilities · Analyse large-volume financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, anomalies, and business insights. · Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, MIS reports, KPIs, and management reports. · Perform financial analysis, reconciliation, variance analysis, and data validation. · Develop advanced Excel models, Power Query solutions, VBA/Macros, and automated reporting tools. · Use Python for data processing, analysis, automation, and large-data handling. · Automate repetitive Finance processes and reduce manual Excel-based work. · Develop automated reconciliation and exception-reporting solutions. · Identify duplicate, missing, unmatched, or inaccurate financial transactions. · Integrate and analyse data from ERP, CRM, banking, and other financial systems. · Apply AI and advanced analytics to improve financial reporting, forecasting, reconciliation, and decision-making. · Support Finance transformation initiatives through data analytics and automation. · Ensure accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of financial data. Required Technical Skills · Advanced Excel · Excel VBA / Macros · Power BI & DAX · Power Query / Power Pivot · Python for Data Analytics & Automation · Large-volume data analysis · Financial data reconciliation · Data visualization and reporting · AI-assisted data analysis · SQL – preferred · ERP/CRM data analysis – preferred Finance & Accounting Knowledge Strong practical understanding of: · Accounts Receivable & Payable · General Ledger · Bank Reconciliation · Customer Receipts & Collections · Financial Reporting · Revenue · Budget vs. Actual Analysis · Month-End Closing · Financial Controls and Audit Support Educational Qualification Mandatory / Preferred: · CA (CAF) Qualified / CA Finalist OR ACCA Qualified · Certification/Diploma/Graduation in Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Power BI, or related field · Additional certifications in Python, AI, Machine Learning, or Advanced Excel will be an advantage. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have: · Minimum 6 years of relevant experience. · Strong Finance & Accounting background. · Proven experience handling large/huge datasets. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Proven ability to automate Finance processes. · Excellent Power BI and Advanced Excel expertise. · Practical Python experience. · Understanding of AI-driven data analysis. · Ability to convert complex financial data into clear management insights. · Strong communication, attention to detail, and stakeholder-management skills.
