Are you a highly organized, energetic event professional who enjoys creating memorable experiences? We're seeking a
Special Events Coordinator
to oversee a variety of private rentals, public events, and community programs for a well-established nonprofit organization. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and has a passion for bringing events to life from concept through execution.
What You'll Do
Manage facility rentals for a variety of events, including meetings, conferences, workshops, receptions, celebrations, and community gatherings.
Serve as the primary point of contact for event clients, coordinating contracts, schedules, vendors, logistics, and communications.
Coordinate and host birthday party events, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests.
Plan and execute public and community events, including scheduling, logistics, and event operations.
Conduct facility tours and support efforts to promote event spaces and increase rental revenue.
Provide on-site event support during events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Maintain accurate event records, attendance data, contracts, and related documentation.
Track event budgets, expenses, and revenues, and prepare reporting as needed.
Collaborate with internal departments, volunteers, vendors, and leadership to ensure successful event execution.
Provide administrative support and assist with additional projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
Minimum of
2 years of event planning, hospitality, or related experience
.
Bachelor's degree in Event Planning, Hospitality, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience coordinating vendors, schedules, contracts, and event logistics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and similar business software.
Self-starter who can work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
Professional, outgoing, and customer-service-oriented personality.
Valid driver's license required.
