About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer specializing in Python and Django to join our dynamic engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications and backend services that support our enterprise objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, a deep understanding of software development best practices, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment. You will play a key role in system architecture discussions, API development, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, support software updates, and provide technical leadership on routine projects.
Your responsibilities also include conducting training sessions for application users and contributing to continuous process improvements to enhance overall system performance and maintainability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
5–7 years of professional software development experience in enterprise environments
Hands-on experience with Django or equivalent Python web frameworks (e.g., Flask, FastAPI)
Strong proficiency in Python programming
Experience with Git and enterprise source control practices
Relational database experience, preferably with MySQL or PostgreSQL
Knowledge of application architecture, security principles, and backend best practices
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman
Familiarity with asynchronous task processing frameworks like Celery
Exposure to observability and logging solutions such as Vector or similar tools
Additional desirable skills include automation and configuration management with Ansible, caching with Redis, CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Concourse CI, and basic frontend debugging with JavaScript.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using Python and Django or similar frameworks
Participate in system architecture, design discussions, and technical decision-making processes
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services aligned with enterprise standards
Collaborate with product management, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable and efficient solution delivery
Ensure high code quality through unit testing, peer reviews, and adherence to coding standards
Manage source control using Git, following enterprise versioning and branching strategies
Implement database schemas, optimize queries, and support relational database management
Support automation, configuration, and deployment activities utilizing Ansible
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application and production issues promptly
Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on routine projects
