About the role
Mackenzie Wells Fitness is exploding. Mackenzie is one of the biggest and fastest growing fitness influencers on social media (https://www.instagram.com/mackenziewells.fit/)
We're hiring a Social Media Strategist to own the creative engine behind it — someone who lives in the platforms, spots trends before they peak, and can take an idea from research to posted.This is a hands-on role, not an oversight one. You'll be writing the copy, shaping the concepts, and running the process that gets content out the door consistently.
What you'll do
Live in the weeds of social — track trends, formats, sounds, competitors, and audience behavior across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, and turn that research into a point of view on what we should be makingOwn the content calendar end to end: concepting, scripting, captions, hooks, and posting cadenceDraft copy in Mackenzie's voice across posts, captions, stories, email, and campaign assetsRun the full creative process — brief the idea, coordinate the shoot, manage revisions, ship itPartner closely on training and program content, translating fitness expertise into content that actually performsOrganize and manage the editor workflow: build the pipeline, set turnaround expectations, give clear feedback, and keep edits movingReport on what's working — track performance, run tests, and adjust strategy based on the numbers
What we're looking for
3-5 years running social for a creator, fitness brand, or consumer brandDeeply online. You know why a format is working, not just that it isStrong writer with range — you can nail a hook, a caption, and a longer narrative postComfortable owning process and deadlines without being managedExperience directing editors or freelancers and giving actionable creative feedbackFluent in Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube analytics; familiar with scheduling and project tools (Notion, Later, Asana, or similar)Genuine interest in fitness and wellness
Nice to have
Basic editing chops (CapCut, Premiere, Canva)Experience with brand partnerships or launch campaignsCommunity management or newsletter experience
