Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

🚨 We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join an international Cloud & Telecom product project!

If you're passionate about software quality, test automation and engineering excellence, this could be the challenge you're looking for.

You'll join a highly technical environment where QA is not limited to testing. You'll work closely with engineering teams, contribute to technical discussions, influence quality practices and help ensure the reliability of cloud-native products used by millions of users across Europe.

📍 Location: Porto Area (Hybrid – 2 days/week)

🌍 Environment: International Project | Cloud-Native Platforms | Agile Engineering Teams

💡 What you'll do

• Drive quality across complex software products and distributed systems.

• Design and evolve automation frameworks and continuous testing practices.

• Perform API, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.

• Work closely with Developers, Product Owners and Engineering teams throughout the software lifecycle.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.

• Investigate defects, identify root causes and improve testing processes.

• Participate in technical discussions and help shape quality practices across the engineering organisation.

• Ensure reliability, scalability and quality across products used by millions of users across Europe.

🧠 What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.

• Strong hands-on experience with Test Automation.

• Experience designing, maintaining or evolving automation frameworks.

• Strong experience with API Testing.

• Experience working in Agile software development environments.

• Understanding of CI/CD and modern engineering practices.

• Strong ownership, autonomy and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to discuss trade-offs, challenge decisions constructively and influence quality outcomes.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with highly technical teams.

• Continuous improvement mindset.

• Experience with Robot Framework is highly valued.

• Experience working in Cloud-native products or platforms is highly valued.

• Experience in Telecom or Communications environments is a plus.

• Interest in AI-assisted engineering practices and tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude or similar.
