Senior Product Engineer, Embedded Finance

Job Description: Own features end-to-end: write the spec, design the solution, build it, and operate it in production Design, build, and maintain backend services in Node.js / TypeScript (NestJS or Elysia) for high-performance APIs and async jobs Work with AWS cloud-native services (Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, Aurora, S3, CloudWatch) for scalable, resilient architectures Manage data storage and synchronization, working with Postgres and Aurora Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and security practices Collaborate directly with product and business stakeholders — no PM layer, no hand-holding Leverage AI tools and modern development practices to drive engineering velocityRequirements: 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience Deep expertise with Node.js and TypeScript, including RESTful API design and async job patterns Strong product sense — ability to take end-to-end ownership of a feature from idea to production Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, SQS, Aurora, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, etc.) Strong SQL fundamentals and experience with relational databases Familiarity with event-driven and serverless architectures Clear communication and ability to work autonomously in a fully remote, async team Demonstrated use of AI tools to boost development efficiencyBenefits: A high-impact role in a rapidly growing fintech startup Flexible remote work environment with a global, collaborative team Insurance coverage after probation Reap Card stipend Use of AI tools at work — and the space to learn, experiment, and grow with them A culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning
