WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As a Senior IT Business Systems Analyst Consultant, you will serve as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, helping our client identify opportunities to improve business processes, enhance technology solutions, and deliver meaningful outcomes. You will lead complex initiatives spanning multiple business units and technology domains, translating business objectives into scalable, compliant, and sustainable solutions.
In this role, you will partner closely with product owners, business leaders, technology teams, and external vendors to define requirements, evaluate solution options, and guide initiatives from concept through implementation. You will provide leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, helping teams navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong stakeholder management skills, making you a trusted advisor across both business and technology functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology enablementLead requirements gathering efforts through workshops, interviews, process modeling, and stakeholder collaborationTranslate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and solution specificationsSupport business case development, solution evaluations, vendor assessments, and technology selection activitiesFacilitate roadmap planning and prioritization efforts with product owners and business leadersAnalyze complex business processes and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, and customer experienceManage and support enterprise applications, including configuration, workflow optimization, reporting, and user access managementCollaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure successful solution deliveryCreate and maintain technical documentation, process flows, system models, user guides, and operational proceduresCoordinate testing activities, including test planning, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, and stakeholder signoffSupport software releases, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities across development, testing, and production environmentsEnsure solutions align with cybersecurity, privacy, regulatory, and compliance requirementsBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors and third-party technology providersMentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices and standards

Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar technology-focused roleExperience supporting complex enterprise software platforms and business-critical systemsStrong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working across Agile, Scrum, Lean, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery modelsExperience gathering, documenting, and managing business, functional, and technical requirementsDemonstrated ability to facilitate workshops, lead stakeholder discussions, and build consensus across diverse teamsExperience developing business cases, evaluating solution options, and supporting vendor selection processesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess business impacts and recommend practical solutionsAdvanced experience with SQL and data analysis techniquesFamiliarity with cloud-based technologies and modern application environmentsExperience with Agile planning and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platformsKnowledge of software testing methodologies, user acceptance testing, and production support processesStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environmentsPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in a related fieldExperience within highly regulated industries such as financial services, banking, healthcare, or insuranceFamiliarity with application monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar platformsExperience supporting SaaS, PaaS, and cloud-native technology solutionsKnowledge of cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory compliance requirementsExperience mentoring junior analysts and leading cross-functional initiativesProject management or business analysis certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, or similar)

The annual salary range for this role is $120,000-$160,000. Work/life balance – we know there’s more to life than work!
