Peregrine Team is hiring a Human Resources Consultant to support a client based in Washington. This position is a contract role with full benefits and competitive pay. Peregrine Team is seeking an experienced HR Consultant to deliver high-impact HR advisory services in a dynamic environment. This role will act as a strategic partner to leadership, providing guidance across a broad range of HR functions with a strong emphasis on employee relations, compliance, and union engagement. Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on HR policies, practices, and risk mitigation Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective actions Advise on union-related matters, including interpretation of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), grievance processes, and labor relations strategy Ensure compliance with federal, Washington state, and local employment laws, proactively identifying and mitigating risk Analyze HR data, trends, and metrics to inform decision-making and provide actionable insights to leadership Support and guide performance management processes, including coaching strategies, development planning, and performance improvement Lead or support HR audits, compliance reviews, and process assessments to identify gaps and recommend scalable solutions Partner with stakeholders to drive change management initiatives, including restructures, policy implementation, and organizational transitions Facilitate training sessions and provide guidance to managers on HR best practices and leadership effectiveness legal counsel) as needed to support business objectives Provide recommendations to enhance HR programs, policies, and overall employee experience 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an HR advisory or consulting capacity Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory compliance at the federal, state, and local levels (Washington preferred)Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, including conducting investigations and managing complex, sensitive situationsAdvanced proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)High level of discretion with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and integrityBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferredSHRM-CP, PHR, or other relevant HR certification preferred
