Requirements

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will build, operate, and improve cloud infrastructure supporting Python and Java applications. You will work closely with development teams to ensure reliable services, secure deployments, effective observability, and efficient resource usage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain multi-AZ AWS cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, and databases.
  • Build and operate Docker-based containerized applications and microservices in production.
  • Troubleshoot Python and Java applications, resolving memory, concurrency, and performance issues.
  • Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Develop automated CI/CD pipelines with integrated security scanning and testing.
  • Implement zero-downtime deployment strategies, including blue/green, canary, and rolling updates.
  • Centralize logging, metrics, tracing, and alerts using observability tools.
  • Configure application and cluster autoscaling based on load testing and usage metrics.
  • Implement resilience patterns such as circuit breakers, retries, and dead-letter queues.
  • Define disaster recovery plans (RTO/RPO) and enforce security best practices across IAM and encryption.

Qualifications and Requirements

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps/SRE roles managing production AWS environments (EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, RDS).
  • Strong expertise with Docker containerization and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Solid operational knowledge troubleshooting Python (Gunicorn/Celery) and Java (JVM, thread pools, GC) runtimes.
  • Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and safe deployment strategies (blue/green, canary).
  • Hands-on proficiency with observability tools (CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Loki), DR concepts (RTO/RPO), and Python/Bash scripting.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with advanced autoscaling based on queue depth, message age, or custom application metrics.
  • Experience with capacity planning, sizing, and resource tuning for CPU, memory, storage, and IOPS.
  • Relevant AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or Solutions Architect – Professional).

Benefits

  • Trust-based culture: We highly value ownership and we trust in our team's skills and seniority to achieve goals.
  • Remote work: Enjoy working remotely! We are spread-headed in different locations in LATAM and Europe.
  • Flexible time off policy.
  • Diverse & Impactful Projects: Engage with complex challenges for major players in Media & Entertainment, alongside innovative startups in Solar Energy, Compliance, and other dynamic sectors.
  • Learning and development: Get the opportunity to take English classes, trainings and certifications.
  • Referral Program: We value connection! Our referral program provides bonuses for successful referrals.
  • Strong culture and traditions: We foster a supportive and engaging work environment, highlighted by our annual “Binagora Week”, regular team gatherings and gifts for special occasions.

Prepare your application

Use the description above to assess your fit for Binagora. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.

Match requirements to evidence

Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.

Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.

Check the working arrangement

Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.

Review before submitting

Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.

Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.

Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
