In 2026, Trideca won the Australian Financial Review's Best Place to Work award for Professional Services. It's recognition of the culture we've built and the people who make it happen.

Working for Trideca, you will be challenged to think outside the box and do things you have not done before. We tackle unique challenges and work on innovative projects for our enterprise clients across various sectors. As part of the Trideca team, you will be able to embrace opportunities for growth with emerging technologies, in a fast-paced, collaborative, and rapidly growing environment across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. AI curiosity runs through everything we do, and every team member is encouraged to test new tools, build practical AI skills, and bring that thinking into client work.

At Trideca, we cut through red tape to get things done efficiently. Join us for a dynamic career where you can make a real impact. You can learn more about us here:

About the role

Were hiring two Senior Java API Developers to join a key project in the financial products space, specifically focused on life insurance enhancements. The ideal candidate will bring strong Java and Spring Boot skills, along with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset.

This is an existing solution with clear architecture in place, so we're looking for developers who can hit the ground running, collaborate confidently with third-party stakeholders, and help us drive the next phase of delivery.

Responsibilities

    • Design and develop scalable, secure RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
    • Build efficient backend services and microservices with Java, ensuring performance and maintainability.
    • Implement API standards, versioning, and integration best practices.
    • Ensure API security using OAuth2, JWT, and API gateways.
    • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot system issues across environments
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum settings.
    • Contribute to architectural decisions and solution designs.
    • Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
    • Support CI/CD deployment pipelines using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Maintain clear technical documentation and ensure compliance with quality and security standards.
  • Essential requirements

    • A minimum of 6+ years' experience as a Java Developer, ideally in enterprise or financial services environments
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
    • Experience working in Agile delivery teams and navigating external dependencies with third parties
    • Working knowledge of Kafka (basic is fine you don't need to be an expert)
    • Previous exposure to life insurance or broader financial services products
    • Familiarity with automation frameworks (while you won't maintain them, you'll need to use existing ones for functional testing)
    • Comfort working in a regulated or compliance-focused environment
    • Passion for continuous learning and a strong drive to grow capabilities in AI and emerging technologies.
    What We Offer

You'll join a structured, highly capable engineering team with a dedicated Technical Lead and Senior Developers. You'll have full ownership of the QA automation strategy, backed by a strong safety net for professional growth, mentoring and collaborative architectural planning

    Prepare your application

Use the description above to assess your fit for Trideca. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.

    Match requirements to evidence

Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.

Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.

    Check the working arrangement

Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.

    Review before submitting

Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.

Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.

Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
