Job description

As a Senior Accountant at Splitero, you will work across all business lines to help Splitero scale effectively, and you will partner with the Vice President of Finance and Accounting to inform strategic business planning. Day-to-day, you own traditional accounting functions while shaping the role into your own by collaborating on transformative projects. The robust financial reporting you create will drive data-driven decisions. You will identify and adopt AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline reporting workflows while ensuring that outputs meet our accuracy and internal control standards, thereby making a significant impact on achieving our long-term goals.

About the Job

  • Drive data and financially grounded decision-making and accountability company-wide
  • Leverage our existing financial infrastructure to help leadership make data-driven decisions
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual external and internal financial close and reporting processes
  • Act as liaison with external financial statement audit firm to prepare and assist in audit execution
  • Develop our global accounting policies, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Ensure proper control, recording, and classification of all revenues and expenses
  • Own vendor management and have a direct impact on organizational efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams on periodic ad-hoc analytics projects

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

About You

  • 3+ years of experience in either public accounting or high-growth tech preferred
  • Effective communication and presentation skills - the ability to share complex findings in a clear manner with a non-technical audience
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering timely and accurate reporting - the ability over time to build compelling insights from facts and numbers
  • Familiarity (or quick study) with SalesForce, Quickbooks, and financial planning software a plus
  • Curiosity about AI and a willingness to learn and apply it in your work, paired with the judgment to verify results and protect sensitive financial data
  • Desire to participate in fast-paced early-stage startup
  • Adaptability: Embraces changing circumstances with resiliency and positivity
  • Team-Oriented: Prioritizes collaboration, inclusivity, and teammate support

About Us

Millions of homeowners in today’s economy are sitting on substantial home equity they are unable to access due to rising interest rates and strict qualification requirements of traditional lenders. That means millions of homeowners can’t convert their hard-earned equity into cash to pay off debt, start a home renovation, or pad their retirement to better their lives.

Splitero co-founders Michael Gifford and David Zvaifler witnessed the problem firsthand throughout their real estate careers. They set out to create a win-win product that could help those homeowners access their home equity but not make monthly payments like traditional financing options. And thus, Splitero was born.

As part of our team, you will join our quest to revolutionize the real estate industry while helping families in need. We offer a suite of benefits designed to help you thrive in all areas of life.

  • OneTeam Culture - We foster a culture of transparency, innovation, and inclusivity, where every voice is heard and every team member is valued. We believe in celebrating our successes, doing the right thing, and helping each other so we grow as a team and as individuals.
  • Generous Resources - We want to ensure you are set up to do your best work. In addition to a solid tech stack, and access to any WeWork location, you will receive a monthly cell and internet stipend.
  • Premium Healthcare - We offer comprehensive healthcare plans for you and your family, which employees are eligible for on their first day.
  • Flexible PTO and Parental Leave - We offer a generous PTO and encourage employees to take time off to recharge. We're proud to offer a parental leave policy that allows you to welcome your new addition without worry.

We are a workforce composed of individuals with diverse backgrounds, abilities, minds, and identities. In keeping with our commitment to inclusion, we will ensure that people with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations. If reasonable accommodations are required when applying, interviewing, or performing the essential functions of this position, please contact People Operations, at .

Prepare your application

Use the description above to assess your fit for Splitero. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.

Match requirements to evidence

Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.

Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.

Check the working arrangement

Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.

Review before submitting

Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.

Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.

Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
