Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a Risk Analyst to oversee market and client risk within our forex/CFD brokerage environment. The role will focus on real-time exposure monitoring, trading risk analysis, client behaviour, risk controls and collaboration with the Dealing Desk and other key teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor real-time and end-of-day exposure across FX, metals, indices, crypto and other trading instruments.

  • Analyse net exposure, concentration risk, volatility risk and trading portfolio performance.

  • Investigate and identify abusive or high-risk trading behaviours, including latency arbitrage, toxic flow, bonus abuse and scalping anomalies.

  • Develop and maintain risk flags, client segmentation and risk scoring to identify high-risk accounts and trading patterns.

  • Define and monitor leverage limits, margin requirements, exposure thresholds and other risk parameters.

  • Work closely with the Dealing Desk on hedging strategies, execution risks and abnormal market conditions.

  • Prepare daily exposure reports, risk dashboards and trading incident analysis for management.

  • Recommend and implement appropriate risk mitigation actions, including leverage restrictions, margin adjustments and trading condition changes.

  • Maintain and improve risk policies, procedures, controls, and escalation processes.

  • Work with Compliance, Operations and Technology teams to strengthen risk monitoring and automate risk controls where possible.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of risk management experience within a Forex/CFD brokerage, prop trading, liquidity provider or similar trading environment.

  • Strong practical knowledge of market risk, client risk, exposure management, leverage, margin and stop-out mechanisms.

  • Hands-on experience with MT4/MT5 and trading/risk monitoring.

  • Strong understanding of trading behaviour and abuse patterns, including toxic flow, latency arbitrage, bonus abuse and scalping.

  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel; experience with BI tools, SQL, Python or other risk/analytics tools is an advantage.

  • Ability to analyse large amounts of trading data and translate findings into clear risk decisions and actions.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced trading environment.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience implementing risk rules/alerts via BI, SQL, Python, or internal tooling.

  • Familiarity with liquidity/prime brokerage setups (A-Book/B-Book hybrid models).

  • Previous work in regulated environments (CySEC, MFSA, SCA, etc.).

  • Experience designing bonus/promotion risk controls and eligibility frameworks.

What Success Looks Like (90–120 Days)

  • Real-time risk monitoring and escalation framework running smoothly with clear ownership.

  • Improved detection of toxic flow and abusive trading patterns with measurable reduction in losses.

  • Cleaner governance: documented risk decisions, better dashboards, clear KPIs, faster incident resolution.

  • Risk parameters optimized across instruments and client segments without harming healthy volume.

What We Offer

  • High-ownership role with direct impact on trading performance and risk resilience.

  • Remote position with a global team.

  • Strong growth runway and autonomy to build best-in-class risk systems.

Prepare your application

Use the description above to assess your fit for DB Financial. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.

Match requirements to evidence

Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.

Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.

Check the working arrangement

Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.

Review before submitting

Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.

Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.

Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
