Job description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) is a national nonprofit organization focused on advancing music education across the United States. The Fundraising and Development Intern will support prospect research, donor development, corporate partnerships, fundraising initiatives, grant research, marketing communications, graphic design, and CRM administration.
Responsibilities
Research prospective individual, corporate, and foundation donors using publicly available resourcesBuild prospect profiles highlighting philanthropic interests, giving capacity, and alignment with NAfME's missionMaintain prospect lists and assist with donor pipeline developmentIdentify new funding opportunities and strategic partnershipsSupport outreach to current and prospective corporate membersAssist with corporate membership renewal effortsResearch new companies aligned with music education and arts philanthropyPrepare outreach materials, sponsorship packets, and customized proposalsTrack outreach activity and responsesAssist with annual giving initiatives and donor stewardshipSupport grant research and funding opportunity trackingHelp organize donor cultivation events and virtual engagement activitiesPrepare donor acknowledgment letters and stewardship materialsAssist with campaign planning and fundraising initiativesDesign draft digital marketing materials using Canva or Adobe Creative SuiteCreate fundraising one-pagers, infographics, presentations, social media graphics, and donor impact reportsAssist with updates to donor-facing webpages and digital resourcesEnsure materials align with NAfME branding standardsUpdate donor and prospect information within CRM systemsAssist with data entry, reporting, and document organizationPrepare meeting materials and presentationsSupport additional Development projects as assigned
Skills
• Current undergraduate or graduate student in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, public relations, business, music, arts administration, or a related field• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines• Interest in philanthropy, fundraising, nonprofit management, or corporate partnerships• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)• Canva; Adobe Creative Suite is a plus• Experience conducting online research• Strong writing and editing abilities• Familiarity with CRM or database systems is a plus• Social media content creation experience is helpful
