Job description

COMPANY 🌱

RYZE was founded in 2019 by Andrée Werner and Rashad Hossain, out of a parents' basement, with a mission to change daily health, starting with the morning routine: a nutrient-dense mushroom coffee delivering clean energy, mental clarity, and immune support. Built on a Direct-to-Consumer foundation with a performance marketing engine, RYZE achieved hockey-stick growth and a community of over 1 million active subscribers.

DTC remains the foundation, but RYZE has expanded into mass retail, quickly becoming the #2 items in Target's overall coffee category and is now executing a multi-channel expansion, with a cross-category launch coming in early 2027. RYZE is uniquely positioned to redefine how people think about daily wellness.

We’re a lean, fast-moving, mission-driven team who believe daily rituals create the foundation for living your greatest life, and we’re just getting started!

ROLE OVERVIEW:

You'll own label compliance and regulatory clearance for RYZE’s growing product portfolio—from mushroom coffees to new SKUs across retail and DTC. This is a brand-side regulatory role: you’ll work closely with the Research & Scientific Affairs team to ensure every product that ships meets FDA dietary supplement and food labeling requirements, every claim on pack is properly substantiated, and every new launch clears regulatory review before it reaches market. You’ll also own retailer and Amazon channel compliance, keeping RYZE’s listings accurate and defensible as the portfolio expands.

WHAT YOU'LL DO 🎯

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Review product labels, supplement facts panels, and packaging for compliance with FDA dietary supplement and food labeling regulations—including required disclaimers, ingredient listing, net quantity, and structure/function claim standards.
  • Evaluate whether label and product claims are adequately substantiated by available evidence, working closely with Research & Scientific Affairs and the internal Claims Library.
  • Own regulatory clearance for new product launches—coordinating documentation, reviewing label copy, and completing the compliance checklist for each new SKU before it reaches market.
  • Maintain and review channel-specific compliance for retailer and e-commerce listings, including Amazon Seller Central policies and retailer (Target, etc.) product setup requirements.
  • Review ingredient documentation—confirming supplier GRAS status, food-grade and supplement-grade certifications, and relevant specifications.
  • Monitor FDA warning letters and regulatory developments in the functional food and dietary supplement space—flagging anything that affects RYZE’s current claims, labeling, or product formulations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Marketing, Research & Scientific Affairs, and Quality to build regulatory compliance into product workflows from the start.
  • Maintain regulatory files, SOPs, and documentation standards, and support continuous improvement of the regulatory review process.
  • (Other related duties may be assigned.

WHAT WE OFFER 🌟

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, a life science or health science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of regulatory experience at a consumer brand, dietary supplement company, or functional food company—brand-side experience preferred over supplier or manufacturer side.
  • Strong working knowledge of FDA dietary supplement and food labeling regulations, including supplement facts requirements, structure/function claim standards, and the food vs. dietary supplement classification distinction.
  • Experience with Amazon Seller Central compliance requirements and/or retail channel regulatory requirements (Target, Walmart, etc.) is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with GRAS requirements for functional ingredients in food and beverage applications is a strong plus.
  • Collaborative communicator who can translate regulatory complexity into practical guidance for cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong documentation instincts, and comfort working in a fast-moving product environment.
  • Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) is a plus.

Prepare your application

Use the description above to assess your fit for RYZE Superfoods. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.

Match requirements to evidence

Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.

Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.

Check the working arrangement

Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.

Review before submitting

Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.

Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.

Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
