Quality Engineer II – Data Validation & QA Tooling (Contract) 100% Remote Contract Length: 3 months, with strong potential for extension or conversion to full-time Location: Remote, US Industry: Healthcare technology About the Role We're looking for a Quality Engineer who will both test and help maintain/expand an in-house QA validation tool used to verify the accuracy of healthcare reporting data across Postgres, AWS Athena, OpenSearch, and QuickSight. This is a hybrid role: day-to-day QA and data validation work, plus hands-on contribution to the tool itself (a .NET 8 backend, React/TypeScript frontend). Must-Haves - 3 years in software QA with a strong manual and automated testing background, plus working proficiency in C# and JavaScript (able to read, extend, and contribute to the tool's codebase — not just test against it) - Strong SQL, including query validation against AWS Athena — comfortable writing and extending queries, not just reviewing them - 2 years with Cucumber (or similar BDD framework), able to write and extend automated test coverage - Experience with a test case management tool (TestRail or similar) - Hands-on AWS experience: S3, Athena, QuickSight, Secrets Manager Nice-to-Haves - Healthcare industry experience - API testing experience - Comfort using AI tools to accelerate test/query writing - Experience working with large/complex data sets Engagement Details - Duration: 3 months, with strong potential to extend or convert to full-time - Reports to Manager, Quality Assurance - Works closely with developers and QA team members, both using and helping build out the internal validation tool Welcome to ConsultNet, a premier national provider of technology talent and solutions.
