Job Description

Company Description

Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Japan has established a new Digital Innovation entity in India to accelerate growth through customer intelligence, digital platforms, connected experiences, and next-generation mobility solutions.

Headquartered in Bengaluru, this organization will combine Honda’s global scale with India’s technology ecosystem to build capabilities that directly influence product strategy, customer growth, and new business creation across India and other high-growth markets.

Role Description

We are looking for a Product Manager – Digital Platforms to own the strategy and hands-on execution of customer-facing digital products across mobile apps, web platforms, and future connected services.

You will own the roadmap and day-to-day backlog for products that improve ownership experience, service engagement, customer retention, and lifecycle value, working directly with UX and Engineering through the full product cycle rather than one step removed from delivery. This role requires someone who can translate real customer needs and Honda business operations into practical, high-impact digital solutions, and who is equally comfortable in a stakeholder review and a sprint planning session. You will work at the intersection of product, customer experience, engineering, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product management for the 2W and 4W mobile apps and web platforms, from user story definition through to shipped feature
  • Define product roadmap aligned with Honda motorcycle and automobile business priorities
  • Translate customer pain points, operational realities, and business needs into product requirements and user stories
  • Drive feature development across the customer lifecycle: purchase → onboarding → usage → service → loyalty
  • Own and prioritize the backlog, working directly with engineering in sprint planning, grooming, and delivery
  • Partner with UX on flows, wireframes, and prototypes ahead of engineering handoff
  • Improve customer engagement, retention, service usage, and digital adoption metrics
  • Partner with Sales, Service, Marketing, UX, and Analytics teams to deliver high-value features
  • Validate new concepts through pilots, field feedback, and user testing
  • Monitor product KPIs and continuously optimize journeys and platform performance
  • Act as the voice of business operations, customers, and the build team in product decisions

Qualifications

Required

  • 6-9 years of experience as a Product Manager with hands-on, end-to-end ownership of a consumer mobile app and/or web platform
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a relevant field
  • Proven experience working directly with engineering teams inside Agile/Scrum delivery, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and story writing
  • Working knowledge of product analytics tools (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA) to support data-driven prioritization
  • Sufficient technical fluency to discuss APIs, app architecture, and platform constraints directly with engineering
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to drive execution in fast-moving and ambiguous environments
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred

  • Prior experience in automotive, mobility, retail, fintech, or consumer digital platforms
  • Exposure to customer lifecycle products, CRM, loyalty, or service platforms
  • Experience running structured A/B tests or pilot rollouts
  • Field experience in sales, service, dealer network, or customer operations is highly valued
  • Familiarity with app analytics and experimentation tools

Why join

  • Own digital products with direct customer and business impact
  • Build platforms serving millions of users
  • Work across mobility, customer experience, and growth initiatives
  • Strong long-term career growth potential
