Product Engineer, Full-Stack Mobile

Position Overview Radar is the location infrastructure powering products and services for companies such as Vercel, Panera, and T‑Mobile. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in New York City, Radar has raised $85.5M from top venture capital firms. Our SDKs are installed on over 100M devices worldwide and enable geofencing, location tracking, and mapping with just a few lines of code. We are seeking Product Engineers to build features across backend, frontend, and mobile. Our fast‐moving, customer‑focused team lives by the value of “Walk a mile” – both understanding our users’ challenges and continually pushing the limits of location services. Key Responsibilities Work on core Radar mobile infrastructure using Kotlin, Objective‑C, Swift, and wrapper SDKs in React Native, Flutter, and Capacitor. Develop full‑stack features spanning both frontend (React, Next.js) and backend (Node.js, Rust) components. Embody our "Walk a mile" value by QA’ing and debugging the Radar SDK on real devices. Push the boundaries of what is possible with location services on iOS and Android. Ensure your work reaches hundreds of millions of devices and actively incorporate customer feedback. Required Qualifications Experience building mobile infrastructure. Not limited to a single platform — comfortable beyond just iOS or Android. A passion for engaging with customers and ensuring their success. Deep curiosity about how systems work and the tenacity to solve complex challenges. Preferred Qualifications Former technical co‑founder experience. Prior work on an SDK. Experience with indoor positioning. Familiarity with background location or network infrastructure (e.g., handling Doze mode, Wake Locks, Background Execution Limits, etc.). Experience with FusedLocationProvider, GeofencingClient, and beacon monitoring/ranging. Compensation For candidates based in the United States, the base salary range for this full‑time position is between $150,000 and $250,000 per year, with opportunities for performance bonuses and incentives. In addition to cash compensation, full‑time employees receive stock option grants under our equity plan, providing meaningful ownership. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
